Ok fella's I just got back from the local tackle shop and I bought the 7'4" Quantum Tour KVD Crankin' Rod. The reel on it is a Pfluger Trion in a 5.2:1 gear ratio. Do you think I could use 1/2 oz. or bigger lipless crankbaits on this rod, or is it just for lipped crankbaits?

Yes you can have a great day fishing in the rain. I would use any type of topwater during the rain. If they don't seem to like that I may use a spinnerbait.

Got to the lake around 6 this morning, and started throwing a popper around some rip rip and it produced the 3.5 pounder in the pic. Caught 2 more before I had to leave around 11. I know it is not a huge fish I just wanted to show you guys.

You need to be positive that you allowed to fish there not "pretty sure." I would check into it before I ever fished there again, or make sure I have all of my fishing gear right by my side.

I also have a black Stick Jacket. I believe that they are meant more to protect the guides of the rod. I would like something like a Falcon Rod Sock that covers the whole lure and goes all the way down to reel.

As long as they were given a rod, reel, line, and lure I think they would do great.

x6 on the Senko, but go with a Gold, Silver, and Black color, nothing else has worked for me.

I have different jigs for different situations but my favorite brand is either Booyah or Revenge. As for a trailer I like to go with Rage Tail Chunk.
