  3. I have narrowed it down to either Alton Public, Downings Landing or the one in Wolfboro in the back bay off railroad street shouldn't have a problem with the bridge seeing as im in a low profile boat as long as there is parking.
  4. Thanks for the info I don't mind paying for a launch or two during the time I am staying. I however am for the most part a cheap SOB also just ask my girlfriend lol. Anyways...Is the Alton Bay launch pretty easily accessible? Is there parking for vehicles without a trailer on site? Was thinking I could drop my trailer off lock it down up the street then drive back to the launch and park my Jeep. Is the parking area on Letter S road easy to miss? thanks again for any help I want have a plan before I head up there so im not running around in the morning losing fishing time.
  5. I will be camping up near the wolfboro area of NH in a couple weeks and was wondering if anyone could help me with a good launch location on Winnipesaukee. I am looking to launch out of either Wolfboro (preferred) or Alton and would like a place where I could park on site, but it isn't an absolute must I can drop my trailer off if there is a place for it a short distance away. I own an 18 foot aluminum bass tracker. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
  6. I have never fished this water, is it usually pretty productive during the warmer months? I may make my way there next sat just to get the boat out and work off a little rust.
  7. Sweet deal I love the Nash, but never fished it this early in the season it would be interesting.
  8. What do we have for thawed lakes in MA? I am in north central MA going to drive around my favorite local haunts tomorrow to see what the deal is. I am planning to get out the last sat of the month just wondering how far I will have to drive
  9. No ice southeaster ma eh? I may have to make my way down there this upcoming weekend
  10. I am in, but not for another couple months still a foot of ice on my favorite fishing hole.
  11. I am looking for an estimate as to how many hours to expect for labor when repowering from a 25hp 4-stroke to a 50hp 2-stroke engine. There is a boat I am going to put an offer in on that the dealer I am purchasing from did this on after the trade. They are now selling it with the 50hp. I am trying to figure out an estimate on what is cost them to do this was so I can come up with what I think is a fair offer. Thanks
  12. I agree, as soon as they revealed the challenge I knew it wasn't going to be a favorite of mine, it just seemed like too much. It certainly didn't make me run out and buy a pink hat. ;D
  13. I have a 14.5 foot grumman with a 20hp set up for bass. when I purchased it I owner a Pontiac Grand Prix. The boat was well within the manufactures towing rating of the car. With that said though I never felt comfortable towing, it never seemed stable on the highway and I always had to leave a ton of extra stopping room, which was fine unless you come up on one of them unplanned stops. I ended up trading it in and got myself an suv to tow with and it was a lot better. If the boat is a good deal I wouldn't pass it up, the car will tow it, but I think you will find as well as I did a small beater truck to suppliment the car or a trade in will be in order.
  14. Yea Dawson you make a good point, I am now thinking instead of trading in my 14.5 foot grumman for the maybe 1500 id get for it and keeping it for the 4 maybe 5 times a year I fish the HP restricted lake. I am now looking into an 07 175txw with a 60hp engine, they want 11,999 for it I am thinking of offering 10,500. Just a lot of thinking right now though it's still early in the season here foot of ice still on the lakes so I am in no hurry not about to jump at anything. I do appreciate everyone's help you all are great!
  15. I have horsepower restrictions on a lake I fish on regularly 25 is as high I can go.
  16. I am in north central mass and fish all kinds of different lakes around the state, but mostly lake shirley and a little lake called Wampanoag those are closest and easiest to hit up right after work.
  17. Yea I was thinking of offering 8,000 and seeing if they bite. I think if I brought the NADA print out with me along with what a new one retails at I would have a good arguement. I don't think it's worth more than 8,500. I am certainly willing to be patient, and have no problem walking away if it isn't what I think is reasonable. I appreciate the help you all are great.
  18. I am in the market for a used, but fairly new bass rig. A local dealer has an 07 Bass Tracker 175TXW with a 25hp motor for 10,500. This seems a bit much, I was looking for advice on how much to offer for this boat and get an idea of a fair price. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
