Can't see images or Avatars anymore
At work. I still get all of the banners and other graphics, and with other message boards I can see their avatars and pics just fine, so I doubt it's being blocked by the firewall group.

Need help choosing a rod for a Revo S
What's your budget? Sounds like you'll be throwing heavy lures so you'll need a MH or H action rod. Lots of good options from $60-300.

Hi vis braid? do fish care
There was a thread on this not too long ago and it was fairly evenly split: many think line visibility is a non-issue and many think it is or can be. Experienced fishermen on both sides.

Newbie makes first purchase!
6 of my 8 reels are spooled with braid or a fusion and not one of them has this problem. Just my experience, but if it were so prevalent one would think it would manifest itself on at least one of my reels.

Can't see images or Avatars anymore
As of the past week I can no longer see anyone's avatar or pictures uploaded - might anyone know why? It's not my browser as I've - cleared cache - tried i on both IE and Firefox I've checked the control panel and didn't see a setting to turn on/off images so I'm at a loss.

Best for the money
Braid is more sensitive than fluoro. It goes: Braid > Fluoro > Mono However, each has their benefits and place.

Fireline Crystal
The Fireline Crystal I've been using for years is not flat, it's quite round and is a big reason why I like it so much.

Plastics on Weighted Swimbait Hooks?
Wacky rigged senkos for deeper water/windier conditions. Rage Tail Space Monkey

Why is the reel handle on the right hand side?
People appear to be using the search function; isn't it marvelous?

Cabelas Coupon Code Request-PLEASE
7' LTB MH - very light, very fast/stiff, very sensitive. I just built up a rod on that blank and it is a *lot* of rod (so to speak). I will be building up a 7' LTB M to compare but that will be a ways out. If your catching a lot of 2lbs or less fish, I'd go with something less stout.

Frog Misses!!!! NOOOO!!!!!
If it works for him and he has fun fishing it, then it's a good setup. Agree. I have and still use an Avid MM 7' rod with great success - both with toads and senkos. It's a blast.

Bass Pro or Cabelas?
Whichever has what I want at the price I want - which is rarely. I did have a crappy CS experience with Cabela's the only time I used their CS, but it was for an online order. I imagine in store would have been a better experience but there was no store near me at the time.

Zebco 33 vs Curado
Who says we only fish for fish? Make sure you measure and weigh Hawk before you take the hook out and release him...
-
Zebco 33 vs Curado
Not so fast - obviously we need a Poll for this but let's lay out all the info so people can choose wisely in the Poll: - left handed availability - gear ratios - color - weight - magnetic/centrifugal brakes - aftermarket handle availability The Zebco could be the sleeper pick for 2009 reel of the year.

My own odd fishing habit. Do I need to work to correct it?
I could never get used to top mounted cranks so I had mine built on the bottom. It gives me more leverage being lower on the rod for when I cast, hold the rod and crank all in the same hand.

visable braid
Fireline Crystal is white but it will become darker over time as it gets dirty from use. Fireline tracer has alternating colors so it should stand out and is designed to be seen by the angler.

New reel
Spinning or baitcasting? Spinning - Shimano Sedona for $39 here: http://www.justforfishing.com/browse.cfm/4,2758.html Baitcasting - go used; can get Bpro Pro Qualifiers and Extremes in that price range.

Wacky Rigging, My Way
I do something similar to this but have drilled through the cap so you can slide the whole senko through the cap and position the band where you want it.

Mend-it Reivew
You can also get butane powered soldering irons as well. Lots of no cord options available in the event you don't have a tree nearby to plug in to.
-
Frog Misses!!!! NOOOO!!!!!
Try a downward sweep for the hookset. With plenty of gusto, of course.
-
YUM Money Minnow
Are you pausing before setting the hook, like you would do with a top water? Other than that, maybe they aren't hitting it to eat so they aren't taking it in fully.

First Assessment of Mag-Touch Casting Rod
This thread now has lock written all over it.

Mend-it Reivew
Interesting. You made me check Walgreens on line and they have something called Mighty Mendit that may be the same thing; can anyone confirm? http://www.walgreens.com/store/product.jsp?CATID=302276&navAction=jump&navCount=0&nug=VPD&skuid=sku5410401&id=prod5411534

how to set up my shimano citica
Yes, it is an excellent reel in that price range, but there are other great reels in that range as well. The Citica should definitely be on everyone's short list of reels in that range.
