- Bass'n In Heavy Current
I fish Toro Creek which is a flood control for Toledo Bend; I throw a Zoom Baby Brush Hog Texas Rigged with a ¼ oz bullet weight; cast up stream short hopping it while letting the current move the bait. Gates Open Gates Closed- LSU vs BAMA
BCS 1 Ohio State 2 LSU 3 Oregon 4 Kansas 5 Oklahoma 6 Missouri 7 West Virginia 8 Boston College 9 Arizona State 10 Georgia- Uncle Josh Pork Rind Baits
I use their Crawfrog & Kicker Frog- LSU vs BAMA
LSU made plenty of mistakes but that was the worst officiated game in the history of football. When the boys in the review box have to overturn 5 calls on the field that's my friends is bad calling. The true test of a team is not when you win 76-39 but when you can dig deep down and come from behind.- Riggin/fishing crawdad baits?
Larger craw worms Texas Rigged a deadly year round, Paca Craws on Spot Remover jig heads are deadly during pre-spawn/spawn.- which is the best.
Many people base rod length on technique I prefer to base rod length on the persons overall physical size. If you are a person of small stature I would not recommend a 7' rod; they would be better suited with a 6' to 6'6 rod. I personally use a 6' 8 to 6' 10, Line: 10-20 lb, Lure: 3/8-3/4, Power: Medium Heavy, Action: Extra Fast- LSU vs BAMA
Fear The Hat!! The Hat has went for it a staggering 36 times on 4th and made it 78% of the time- Stratos 186xt
Xpress SVX17 95 beam; way more storage than a 176XT If I had 25-30K to spend on a boat it wouldn't be on a low end stratos, 2008 Xpress X19 with a VZ200RTLR Yamaha nationally advertised for $26,995- goodbye to an old friend.
I hate buying new equipment- LSU vs BAMA
John P. Wilson: As Alabama's starting quarterback in 26 career games, Wilson has completed 396 of 689 (.575) passes for 4,681 yards, with 30 touchdowns and 15 interceptions. A 12-9 starter, he is a capable quarterback that can make most of the throws if given time. His drawbacks are that he lacks speed and turns the ball over at crucial times. Pressure him and you make him work for it by taking him out of his comfort zonewhich is sitting in the pocket.- LSU vs BAMA
Typical Bama fan ;D Dorsey is ready to Rock-N-Roll, two second string players kicked off the team, & Ryan Perrilloux will not make the trip to Tuscaloosa; Flynn is 100% & Doucet is 100%. So y'all boys keep listening to the sports commentators hype- The Best and Biggest bass tournament in history!!!
Well Duh :-? I've fished dozens of Splashes along with the KYKZ/KYKX Big Bass Classics; all big bass tournaments- freshwater rods and reels in saltwater
I grew up on the Louisiana Gulf Coast & still make about a dozen trips a year; all we use are bass setups for speckle trout & redfish trips. As reelmechanic stated you got to keep em clean- Water temps and plastic fall rates
With plastics I pretty much stay with 3/16 or ¼ oz which seems to be the proper fall rate year round in my area; if a change is needed I'll change the bait size in length or thickness.- The Best and Biggest bass tournament in history!!!
Randall, ***** is awesome & multi species to I've fished a few big fish tournaments on the Bend but they were small club events where every one throws $25 into a hat with the winner taking all.- LSU vs BAMA
With a week off I'm tired of talking & want to see some football; I think Flynn explodes on Bama with the biggest game of his career. LSU takes the SEC West & the SEC championship game then it's on the National Championship. By the end of the year there will be only one undefeated team left, Hawaii but they don't make the National Championship. I want to go fishing but got too much going on at home; so I'm ticked- Watching My Line
Let me guess you're a youngster; even with out looking at your profile I'd say mid to upper twenties? Yes quality sunglasses are extremely helpful but they will not fix eye problems that come with old age. I promise you fluorocarbon will not replace 40+ years experience so if you want to take my back seat while I throw Berkley Big Game in Mean Green, Electric Blue or Cajun Red Lightnin' come on down and get schooled.- need some help
Slumps are something we all deal with; I've found through the years the best way to handle them is to get back to basics. I know what my strengths are and fish towards them; I suggest you should do the same. If you are good at Flipping/Pitching, Texas Rigs, Cranks, Spinners, or what ever concentrate on those techniques. If you are good at shallow water, deep water, or grass concentrate on those areas. I've learned to down size my tackle to just the basics, it is extremely hard to be a master of all the available techniques. I'm very good at Jig-N-Craws, Texas Rigs, & Spinner baits so I fish where I can maximize these strengths.- Stratos 186xt
The Stratos 186XT is a wet rough ride in a chop, the XL is a better buy- New Member
- Won the Big One!
That's totally awesome dude; Legend boats are sweet rides- New '08 line up for techniques
My projected goal for 2008 is to land a Share A Lunker (13 lbs+); I was close this year with a 12 lb 8 oz and it's just now getting to be big season.- "Low Budget" fishing videos
Dude that aint no bass! That's a scuba diver- Water temps and plastic fall rates
I don't worry too much about cold or warm water when choosing bullet weight instead I choose my weight based on wind; 90% of the time I use 3/16 or 1/4 oz. If I want to punch through matted vegetation I'll choose a jig over a Texas Rig and it will be 1/2 oz to 5/8 oz. - Bass'n In Heavy Current
