Reelfoot Lake TN
I know some guys that have good luck using yo-yo's for cats in the cypress trees in the spring, the lake ain't that deep so I would guess you could still have some good luck this time of the year.

Reelfoot Lake TN
Don't take a fiberglass boat, and take your time gettin around, a lot of stumps and the water isn't very deep.

If you could, WHERE?
Good pick, if you ever go to Falcon it's just a short trip across, there have been some really big fish coming out of that lake this year.

If you could, WHERE?
RoLo you would like Dale Hollow, and they have muskies as well. Mine are Falcon, which I hope to do next spring, and Lake Guerrero, Mex. again, but I'm not sure if I can get across the border anymore. :-/

Marker buoy "rules"
If it was that many he was probably jugging for catfish. I would have done the same thing if that was the only navigable water to drive through.

Check out the small boat rebuild thread at the top of this section, I think you will be able to find everything you are looking for.

Took my new rod out last night
Aim low and shoot for the middle to the tail if you can. I shot a 35 lb. buffalo last year square in the head, took 20 minutes to get the arrow back out, it's all bone up there.

PB Smallie
Haha ok just curious, I know how that feels, had a buddy "stumble" on one the other night and it snapped on the first hookset. Just glad it was an old berkley rod and nothing else.

Are you fishing with a broken rod?

Marketing help for Gander Mountain
I stopped in the one in Paducah, Ky on the way to Arkansas in the middle of duck season and they hardly had any ammo for sale. Only had 2 boxes of Federal(which I don't shoot) that was remotely cheap. Asked a worker why they didn't have anything, said he didn't know and just walked off. I don't mind buying from them online when they have free shipping since some of their decoys are cheaper, and shipping just kills you on some purchases.

Can someone school me on Bass Boats?
With $7500 the sky is the limit on a used aluminum boat. The hard part is going to be finding the one that you will be happy with.

Yellow jacket sting.
I would say that your next sting will be the big reaction. Slurred speech confusion and a buzz should only be normal if you're tanked. Next time you get stung if those symptoms start sooner and are more intense you will need to get to the ER.

Starting my 10 year old with his first pole.
Get him a baitcaster. I had to learn when I was 8 how to throw one and didn't get to go fishing till I did. Just make sure you get the brakes set a little tighter so he doesn't back lash every cast.

New Lowrance HDS-5X
True, but what I've heard from others dealing with their customer service it's a pain. It will get fixed eventually most likely this winter. He didn't have to pay for it it was a replacement for a 520c the dealer broke. But the fact is, when someone forks out that kind of cash for something, you expect it to work and work properly, not break or not work at all a couple weeks or months later.

New Lowrance HDS-5X
My dad has one on his triton. I wouldn't recommend it. I know you only want the sonar, but he had it for two weeks and it quit showing the depth. The picture is really nice, but for the money you spend you would expect it to work. Also, the charts have only worked once for a few minutes, even though it says the gps is locked on to satellites.

Anybody watch Royal Pains last night
Haha, yea I watched a few minutes, just the part where the woman had the flat tire.

Tennessee License
Yep you can fish all the way down to Hwy 79 bridge at Paris Landing. If you want to go past that the conf. # and receipt should be goof enough info for them.

New from Tennessee!
Hey all, I'm 24 and live in Clarksville, Tn. I found this site about a month ago and have posted a little before making an introduction. I mainly fish for bass, but also target crappie and gar. Other passions include duck, turkey, and a little deer hunting and bowfishing. I mainly fish Ky and Barkley Lake. As of right now I have a 14/48 jon boat with an 18 hp Evinrude but that should be changing shortly. I 've looked over a lot of these forums and their is quite a bit of useful info and I plan on giving up a little info as well.

fee costs in your state
Tennessee Hunting/Fishing Combo- they don't split that up-$28 That doesn't include any big game hunting Sportsmans License- includes all hunting/fishing/trapping-$136 If you have to pay at a ramp which some places ask you to the most I've seen is $25/year, and daily rates of $1.00, but most are public ramps.

KY Lake conditions?
South part of the lake is up right now quite a bit. I found water up to 67.5 deg. Back part of larger creeks were stained heavily but I ended up fishing other areas of the creeks that had just a hint of stain. Depending on where you will be you can catch them in 6 in.-15ft of water. I've mainly been fishing bushes and the woods that have been flooded. Managed to hook up on a couple good fish in really shallow water just didn't land them. If you can get in the really really hard to get places you should do good. Oh, and the little males are everywhere, can't keep them off the line.
