No Luck At Lox
Hell, wish I could have made it out today. I appreciate getting the call from you, Robert. Just had to get finished moving my shop into the new building. Maybe next time. Sounds like you all had a darn good time out there today. Way to get on em.

Irene
That's one of the reasons I didn't want a two story. That has got to be one major PITA.

Irene
Looks like right now we're out of the direct path. Even if it keeps tracking east we're going to have some really bad weather towards the end of the week. I don't want anybody to get effected by it, but man I hope it hits somewhere else. My condo in Nassau that I was getting ready to visit in a couple of weeks may not fare too well no matter what direction it goes. Great. We sure as hell could use some water dumped into Okeechobee though. At least that's going to be a benefit.

Air Boating Out Of Loxahatchee (Video)
Very cool. I absolutely love the Go Pro's I have. Fantastic little cameras.

Shimano Reels...
Heavier/lighter lures. For the majority of users, the weights that come in the reel will be all you ever need. Over time you start a little collection of extra brake weights.

Its About Time...
Dolphins will win it all! Oh.....wait. I'm wrong. For some stupid reason we picked up Reggie Bush instead of a QB. Then instead of looking for a starting QB, we picked up a guy to be a backup who lost his job to a guy who is now a backup. For the love of God, Chad Henne is not the answer! Mrs. Cleo told me to expect more tears and frustration this year. I've got a feeling she's right.

I'm Addicted
There are definitely far worse things to be addicted to. I will say this though, fishing can get downright expensive once you get the full blown bait monkey on your back. You'll know this has happened when you put your wallet in your pocket and it starts to burn you on the backside.

Overheating Issue
It sounds an awful lot like you put it together wrong. If I were you, I would search around and find a good service manual that covers your motor. You really should have done that before loosening the first bolt. I've got one for my outboard and would be completely lost without it.

Yay Or Nay--Slightly Used St. Croix Mojo Bass Casting Rod
Going to have to agree for the most part here. With the 100 dollar market becoming so competitive, the Mojo line is quickly dropping further and further down the list. I've used them a few times. Definitely felt tip heavy and not nearly as sensitive as other rods that sell for a similar price. That's just my opinion though. Other people use them and tend to love them. For 45 bucks though, you're not out much if you don't like it.

Bobber Fishing 4 Year Old?
I started my daughters out on bobbers with small circle hooks and minnows or shiners for bait. Just don't bring any rods for yourself and let them fish. You'll find that it's just as much fun helping them catch fish as it is for you to catch fish. Bring your camera.

Backyard Archery/rifle Range
Robert, I'm excessively jealous that you can have gas motors in your lake!

How Long Does It Take For Bass To Go Bakc To "normal" After Cold Front
Generally a couple of days. Depends on the severity of the front as well as the lake. Down here, if a front rolls through you might as well stay home. Once the weather stabilizes, be ready for a good bite to happen.

Trim Motor Getting Jerky When Lowering
I had a similar problem not long ago on my Evinrude. Lubing it properly should definitely help some, it would be wise to check the fluid levels also. I also had a small leak that took me quite a while to find. After fixing that and topping the fluid back off, I was problem free. Like South FLA said, grease the tops of the rams that push on the motor. You don't need to go overboard, you want enough to coat it though. Otherwise it will make a very annoying sound.

Uh Oh......not Good
Sad story if somebody did die, which is what it sounds like. Definitely odd with no numbers on it though. I don't know if it's just the camera angle, but man that engine looks huge for that boat.

The Economy
While it's not quite that much, I went to the emergency care clinic over here run by Baptist. Basically it's an ER for minor stuff. Had a hook in the finger. No pain or anything. I just wanted it yanked out so I could go on with my day. All the doctor did was give me a good dose of local in the finger, opened up a needled and a hemostat, and pulled it free. He also used a set of gloves, some gauze, and some iodine. My bill was the following (rounded): To Doctor: 225 To Baptist for facility use: 250 To Baptist to "set up" my account (receptionist entering my name and info): 275 Antibiotics: 10 bucks I was up to date on Tetanus, who knows what that would have been. Somebody made a post a week or two ago saying they already have. Lots of good points made by all of you. Unfortunately I've got to agree with most of them. Our children, and their children are all going to be really hurting if things continue. I'm just sitting here wondering what to do right now. The business I own is doing good, right now. I'm getting ready to move into a much larger facility. My question right now is what is going to happen in a month or two if the economy takes another dive. I took a very large hit last time. I've got this feeling that the next dump we take is going to be a really bad one. I really don't want to have to tell my employees not to come to work for a while because there isn't any business. All we can do right now is sit back and hope things don't get too much worse.

You Can't Make This Stuff Up
It's all relative to your income level. If you're bagging groceries, that's an expensive car. If your father or you are CEO of a large company, odds are you can afford it.

You Can't Make This Stuff Up
Thanks bro! I just laughed so loud I woke up one of the kids. Rofl. Awesome

Have You Ever Seen This On A Fishfinder?
Fish ID = useless Unless you like seeing bubbles and other random objects turned into pretty fish pictures. Turn it off and learn how to read your sonar. You'll find that you'll be much more able to figure out what's on the screen without it.

How Do You Cast???
Two hands probably 85% of the time unless I'm pitching.

Squarebill Rod
Love my Dobyns 733 for throwing squarebills. Nice soft tip, with a solid backbone. Such a versatile rod.

Most Bass You've Boated?
I've had a handful of triple digit days fishing solo out on some of the strip pits down here. Just awesome fun. Generally anything you do works on those few special trips. Shame that those days don't happen more often. One of those days were where I started getting confidence with fishing a jig. Some of my more memorable trips were where I caught less fish, but fishing with other people. I've had a couple of fantastic fishing trips with forum members here. We don't always find the numbers, but I remember every one of them just because of how much I enjoyed the day.
