  1. Kind of reminds me of a funny story that happened to my father and I a few years back. We had just got back from a long trip to Bimini. There was plenty of fish crud, chum, and all kinds of other nasty stuff floating around in the bilge. This impatient jerk in his convertible is flying around behind us trying to get around. Eventually we pull up to a red light, he gets into the lane next to us a car or two back. Then all of a sudden the bilge kicks on and shoots a huge stream of some really nasty water straight into this guys car. He starts screaming like a little girl, punches his car around everybody else in the intersection and disappears. Light turns green and we just drove off laughing hysterically. Karma.
  2. I'm not sure I know how to add to that....
  3. I've gotta add a new one to my list of favorites. 3.5" Live Magic Shad in Tilapia. Man that thing flat out catches fish. Mayan Cichlids seem to like it as much as the Largemouth and Peacocks do.
  4. You know, there isn't a magic lure...but that magic shad on a drop shot is really close. I've had a blast using them lately.
  5. New tool. Ugh ugh, grunt grunt...
  6. Oh man. That sucks. The motor better run like new after catching that kind of bill.
  7. Not bad. Nice healthy looking fish right there. Certainly looks like a fluke. What happened to the boat, Boca?
  8. Definitely the right call. It sucks, but it was the right call by the rules. That's one rule that really needs to get changed.
  9. I love a good jig bite. The thing that helped me out the most was to dumb it completely down. I stopped looking at a jig like it was this confusing lure to use, then I started to catch fish. Nice catches right there. Way to go.
  10. Peg board over my work table out in the garage. 95% of it's plastics. I store all my hard baits, jigs, spinnerbaits, etc in plano boxes. If I buy another lure that I have a duplicate of, I'll hang it on the board until it's time to replace the older one. I've been buying most of my stuff online recently. I'll just take the laptop out into the garage and glance at the wall to check inventory when I'm burning up my credit card.
  11. I wish I had kept the receipt and all for that FTO jig box. I need to find another use for it or something now. 15 bucks basically down the tube. Oh well.
  12. If you have a basic knowledge of electric motors, you can take it apart and try a good thorough cleaning. I did it a while back to my TM and was shocked at the amount of built up crud inside of the engine housing. The brushes were so loaded up with gunk, I was surprised they were able to make any contact at all. If you go that route, be careful doing it. The brushes can pop out very easily. They're small, don't lose them. That may help if it's an older motor.
  13. Ouch. Thats pretty rough. Better luck next time and all. The water level still way up?
  14. Thanks a bunch guys. I may end up checking out the smaller baggies if I can find some locally, FBL. Don't want to go out and buy a bunch in bulk if I don't like it yet. I understand completely about the trailers, Jig Man. I don't leave them in for storage for a while. When I get home I'll remove all of them.
  15. They should have no chance. They really shouldn't have to start with. I'll take a one or two loss team that has an actual schedule to play than some undefeated team from the WAC. roflmao at VaTech. Thats just fantastic. I've got a buddy who's a VT alum. He will never hear the end of it.
  16. Yeah, it was nuts. An open post instant became a closed post in the span of a few minutes. Last time I visited, the entrances to the base were still heavily guarded.
  17. Mostly out of a boat. My gear is kept in a larger bag though when I'm fishing. Mostly 3600 and 3700 Plano's.
  18. Richardson is a freakin beast. Benches 450, squats 600 + Heck of a backup to have. He'd start at most schools.
  19. Awesome Semi.
  20. I'd get into a rumble with one of them for 200k. No problem. Just give me time to make sure my health insurance is up to date first...
  21. As I keep increasing my jig inventory I've run into a problem. Storage. The Falcon jig box is decent, but it just plain sucks for small or large jigs. 3/8 and 1/2 ounce jigs fit fine in it. Although you can't leave a trailer on without it getting bent up if you put the jig in the box. How do you store yours? 3600/3700 boxes? Sorted by color, size, or style. Etc etc. I've seen some people that have sewn the binders into jig cases, but thats not really what I'm looking for. Hard cases fit into my tackle bag much easier. Appreciate any input....
  22. Man, I would really love to pull the plug on some of the pricey FC lines to test them out. I like AbrazX, but XPS fluoro has been really good to me. I've heard nothing but good things about Shooter and Tatsu. Maybe the next time I buy some line... As far as braid, PowerPro has been great to me. Eventually I should probably try out some of the other braids on the market just to see the difference. I'm just not sure if I can justify the cost increase over a line that I've had little to no problems with.
  23. Spent several years proudly wearing Army green.
  24. You know, I've never felt old until I read that last post. Yeesh...
