Jig rod?
http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1281732335/0 Thats just my personal choice without breaking the bank. Make sure you make up your own mind though. Don't get wrapped up in what other people tell you. If you can, try to handle other peoples suggestions in a store. See what feels comfortable to you.

Fins vs Jets Predictions 9/26
Turned out to be a good game. The Dolphins offense was actually impressive. The play calling was....dumb. I wouldn't necessarily say the Jets are the better team. They certainly had the better play calling last night. If Miami beats New England on Monday, there is going to be a fantastic race to see who wins the East. JASON ALLEN STRIKES AGAIN!!!!!

Vick
Before jail, he really wasn't a good QB IMO. Sure he sold jersey's and was exciting to watch. Other than that, eh I've seen better backups. Now though, he's playing like the real deal. I wish I had him on my fantasy team. That dude is going to have a monstrous year if he keeps it up. I don't condone dog fighting or anything like that, but like somebody mentioned earlier, it's not like he got drunk, drove a car, and killed somebody.

Florida, January recommendations.
FWC's top spots for 2010. http://myfwc.com/Recreation/FW_sites_topbass.htm That most certainly doesn't take into account some of the hidden areas that rarely get fished, kind of like the places that Shane gets into.

Glenn is smiling..Hawks won again
I caught the end of the Seahawks game. That stadium was freakin rockin. Sounded like a college rivalry game.

Fins vs Jets Predictions 9/26
If Miami keeps playing like this, I'm turning off my TV.

Vick
Man, going to jail did him some good. He actually looks like a Quarterback now. Boy, Philly is looking good with him running the show. I'm not an Eagles fan.

Swim Bait's/Who's are better?
Do you have a large fish tank in your laundry room?
-
Big Bass Baits
If I'm specifically targeting larger fish with larger baits I'll generally go with the following: Jig with a GYCB Flapping Hog or a Rage Lobster trailer Big/Bulky soft plastics (Large worms/lizards/creatures) Swimbaits Live shiners (although thats almost cheating)

Line Question
I use braid on my spinning rigs. Just add an appropriate leader. Generally I use a fluoro or a co-poly leader on mine.
-
Question about Shaky Head fishing
You can use pretty much any soft plastic on a shaky head.

Fins vs Jets Predictions 9/26
Man. I really hate the Jets. I hate Jets fans. Bunch of jackasses. Miami's defense shuts down the Sanchise. 23-13

Crankbait Setup?
I use a BPS Pro Qualifier 5.2:1 on a 7'6" M BPS Crankin Stick for 95% of my cranking duties. 12lb XPS fluoro. Tosses small cranks as well as larger ones. Couldn't be happier with them, especially at the price.

Need new rod for Shimano Cl4
My favorite setup is probably a 7'2" M Crucial drop shot/shaky head rod with a 2500 Sahara. 20lb braid with a 10lb to 14lb fluoro leader.

How to videos
Made my own hat cam. 1/4"-20 bolt thats 1/2" long, an old hat, a washer or two, and a screwdriver. It'll cost you like two or three bucks to make it yourself.

How to videos
Oddly enough, I was working on my monopod for the boat earlier today so I could actually film on the water. I started thinking of that older thread.

Spinning reel cuts
I'm not sure I can give you a decent answer. I've been fishing spinning rods basically my entire life. Before I got into Bass fishing, it was the only type of rod I used besides large conventional trolling gear. I've never had a cut on my finger from casting. I've done stupid stuff like hold the line in the bend of my index finger and had fish run out line burning my fingers, but nothing on the actual cast. (wimpy hands! ;D)

Jig rod?
Well, now that you've got several rod recommendations, I'll throw my input in on actually answering your question. Personally, I use MH rods for jigs. I really don't see the need for a traditional heavy power rod for fishing jigs. Before somebody mentions heavy cover, etc etc. I fish in plenty of stupid thick stuff down here in southern FLA. I like a rod with a bunch of backbone and a quick tip on it. Length and action basicalyl boil down to personal preference. You've got to figure out what you're comfortable with using. There is no specific recipe for rod actions. Each company rates them a little differently anyway. My two jig rods: Shimano Crucial - CRCX-610MH: 6'10" 3/8-3/4 General use jig rod. Will toss 1/4oz jigs without any problem as well. Shimano Crucial - CRCX-76MH: 7'6" 3/8-1oz Flipping and pitching rod. Will easily handle 1/4 oz jigs as well. Has a bit more of a parabolic bend than the rod above.

Drop Shot Question
How important is the fluoro leader when dropshotting? I've always tied everything directly to 30 pound powerpro, but then again, I have not had much success with the dropshot rig at all. Two things: One is if you subscribe to theory of line visibility. On a drop shot, I try to make it look as natural as possible. I don't see any harm with a fluoro leader. The other is if you fish in an area with lots of rocks. Fluoro holds up to rocks much better than braid. I fish in a lake that is primarily made of limestone. That stuff can be terrible on braid.

Going back home to south florida for the weekend.
In the last few days the bite has picked up for me. I'm not sure if it's because of the cooler temps at night or what. Wish I could get out a little more often right now. It's been raining almost daily here right around the time I get home from work....

Hard to wacth
Im not scared of heights whatsoever. I've got no issue with jumping out of a plane, hurtling to earth, then popping open a chute. I sure as hell wouldn't do that. Hope he's got a good shrink.

what is your favorite album
Like I said, I don't think it's possible. I listen to so many different genres of music. I'm not sure I could really give you an honest top ten without changing up the answers constantly as I browse through my collection.

My second baby girl is on her way!
Congrats!

what is your favorite album
I don't know if I could actually say I had one single favorite album. I listen to such a broad range of music it's impossible to narrow it down. Almost anything by Clapton and or BB King. Even better if both of them are on it Stevie Ray Vaughan: Texas Flood Jimi Hendrix: Experience Hendrix: The Best of Jimi Hendrix Santana: Supernatural Pearl Jam: Ten Audioslave: Audioslave (self titled) Green Day: Dookie Nas: Illmatic Jay Z: Reasonable Doubt Bob Marley & the Wailers: Legend Tupac: Greatest Hits I could keep going on and on...

Finesse bait
Beat me to it. You can finesse anything. You can also power fish anything.
