Is it safe to assume the MG can handle heavy baits as well? Meaning the MG is a more versatile reel?

Wow, I only have the money for one of them currently... very hard to choose; any other opinions?

Sounds about right... I use 4 on when I have light lures and 4 off when I use heavier lures like 1/2 oz and up. I switched my rod from MH to M and I already am having a better time casting. Operator error is most likely the situation here. Hatty

Does rod length affect casting ability? Does it really matter; triumph, mojo, premier, avid, does the extra money really make a difference? Seriously? Carado E or STX? Casting a senko is dumb hard on a baitcaster; any tips or stick to my spinning setup for senko fishing? or better yet, senko's are so light and either give me backlashes or I set the little spool adjustment so high I can't get distance? Tips? What is your recommendation for my baitcasting setup; I fish buzzbait, spinner, swimming jig, crankbait and senko... STX or Curado; Triumph, Premier, Mojo, or Avid... don't worry about the money... braid, flouro, mix, or mono? Like I said, so many questions so little time... Hatty

I am nailing bass and large bass on the Strike King Burner Spinner in the 90 color aka Sexy Shad (what a horrible name). 3/8 oz and 1/2 oz are really working for me this season. I vary the speed from fast to slow/twitch and I have been roping in some quality fish. What other colors or spinners have been working for you this season? Hatty

I use the "jam" constantly and have no problem hauling in 5 and 6 pound bass on Trilene XL and Maxx. I find it is a good knot for people who don't own many rods/reels and constantly re-tie on new lures on the same rod/reel. The SanJam is solid. Hatty

So far this season I have been getting the best fish on a Cavitron White with red spinner Buzz bait, Green w/ red flake 5" Senko, Black and Red shad 5" Senko, and Zara Spook. What has been working for you? Hatty
