  1. Airrus co matrix 457 $94 $115 depending on model
  2. yes their site kinda sucks i didnt realize how bad until after i posted this,so im sorry. but i did a google search and i did find a page where i could actually see a good close up pic. i found them out in a new mag we have around here. txbassmag.com there might be one on there. i doubt it though.
  3. In a few weeks im going to do some night fishing(first time)in fresh water. I need to know the top notch black spinnerbait there is. i heard single colorado is best, true? help please.
  4. im gonna guess and say better hook sets and better casting distance and accuracy. i may be wrong
  5. When i fish i bring 12 rigs. each has something different on it. my most recent confidence bait is an x rap xr10. but i would say if you need a need thing to try, a definate confidence bait for me is a big bite baits yo mamma(beaver style bait). they are versitile. but dont get hung up on one style bait at a time, you are flat out missing fish. sometimes you need a topwater, crank,or jerkbait when a spinnerbait just doesnt work at that time.
  6. i think the plastic worm(creme) was the FIRST artificial lure to catch a fish in a B.A.S.S. tourney by Bill Dance
  7. I gotcha covered. if your around the powell park area which i believe you are. I would start off at either needmore point, or go around to farmers cove. on a map you will see a spot called farmers flats its the cove just to the left of the flats. there is a house on the point in the middle of the cove. start on the far left side of that cove and iff you have time fish all the way out. its a big cove though. as the day warms move to buck bay. fish the stick ups with jigs and c rigged lizards. there is a single stickup in there that has a drop to i think 30+ ft. its kinda in the middle. also target drop offs and creek channels. GOOD LUCK.
  8. I cant answer the blurry vision part, but i can absolutley promise that in clear water if you can see a bass, it can see you just as good. i know from the spawn this year on toledo bend. 2 big pigs both 9+ easy, me and hammer23 both saw them at the same time. and as soon as we saw them they saw us and dissapeared into the cattails.
  9. that is a fine question, and its now bothering me that i dont know it. im gonna guess and say jig n pig. thats just a guess though.
  10. WELCOME! this site rocks
  11. Nice looking rods, mossy oak contracted, split handle, made in houston. usacustomrods.com
  12. This is hammer23, I am having to borrow my co-workers(bigtimfish), computer at this moment, I Would to try to research those study's to see if there is any validity to it. I agree with the bass's movements and feeding habits but at the age of 18 I took there word to be gospel on what the brought up. Remember this was around 1989 but I will research it and see what I can dig up if the data is there I will find it and get back with you.
  13. i still use the creme scoundrel. theres a reason they still make them!!!!
  14. no, but i want to. get an old crappy table, drills some holes in the top. weight the legs, and pvc the edges. maybe make a false pvc tree stick up out of the middle of it.why wouldnt it work? you got the fake tree and a shelf for the fish to hide under.
  15. they make some called high floaters. they float, but for me they dont run true. a lot of times they run upside down. the others i have that i dont like are the hotfeet green/orange feet. i have some weighted hooks for those, and it keeps them running right, but i still dont catch on them. and yes fish them like a buzzbait but throw them in slop.
  16. across the road from dupont and air liquide. on twin city
  17. How bout the king of private ponds and cattails MR. BILL DANCE !! fishes them all the time.
  18. with the right line and tuning of the reel im sure they could both work fine. the right rod makes a difference to. for light i would go for fast tip. but if i had to choose i would go for the revo. but i own 8 abu garcia reels so maybe im partial.
  19. all i can say is try a suspending jerk bait. x rap or rogue.
  20. If this has already been asked and im sure it has i am sorry. but REALLY, how much difference can colored flakes make? like between grn pump/purple and grn pump/red for example. does it REALLY matter? i have tons of different colors of everything is it necessary?
