I hit Holiday today and had a blast.... Caught a bunch, missed even more.... I fished the Miami Canal North but if youre renting a boat that might be a bit far... Try the center canal.... good luck

Hi all, I have a question about possibly painting soft plastics (if such is possible). Does anyone have an idea of a sort of spray on paint that will adhere to soft plastics? Is run of the mill spray paint possible? any help would be great. thanks

Man the lake is confusing the crap out of me.... Fished the tourney out of Belle Glade and just couldnt find big fish. Found a decent amout of keeper size but lost the only big bite I had all day not once but twice.... Didnt bother bringing a bag of keepers to the scale as I knew it wouldnt have touched the 25 or so it took to win. Anyone else had any luck??

You also should make sure youre going to be using some sturdy line... I prefer braid. The lake has a ton of veggies to try to pull them fish through....

My personal advice would be to buy a used boat to "learn" with.... Trackers are pretty expensive boats and are great boats, but if it's not what you see yourself using in a few years then get something affordable that will allow you to fish & learn while still putting money away for the big boat. I tore up my first boat which happened to be a used tracker while learning the do's and dont's. Some may disagree but thats my 2 cents.....

Thanks for all of the replies, the discussions were / are very intriguing. I ended up staying in the 24 volt range but got the 80lb Minn Kota Maxxum. I figured i saved several hundred with not having to buy new batteries and a 3 bank charger, weight etc.... thanks again....

perfect.... thanks i already have a 71lb 24volt but i fish the slop and lake O alot which is hell on a trolling motor.....

Im pretty sure it's been discussed on here prior, but I couldn't find it.... Can someone let me know what would need to be done to change my 24v system to 36 volts besides adding an extra battery.... I'm thinking of going to a much bigger TM if it's worth the effort... Thanks

I hear you with the smaller skinny water boat for the flats..... And those dudes know how to fish them openings.... The water is dropping fast and the canal bite should start up in the next week or so....

I didn't end up staying until weigh in..... Threw in the towel a little early. I fished south towards opening #4 and a little in the center.... Just couldn't get anything over 11 inches to bite... I'd of been real happy with 11lbs on a day like yesterday good job.... There's always next month to make another donation.....

I caught a bunch of fish but if I weighed them all together they probably wouldn't have made 31lbs. It was really frustrating and I saw a bunch of boats dive in to the flats only to come out empty handed. It was good to see a decent bag out of holiday though.
