Dobyns Champion 703C Vs Avid 7' Mf
Dobyns should be more sensitive. I would seriously recommend selling it and upgrading to a Champion 704c. You will come to appreciate the added power.

Glx 893
Thanks guys. I think I'll go with the 854 paired with the new Chronarch. Should be a sweet, sweet combo for jigs and 10" worms.

Reel Differences
Spinning for light stuff, baitcasting for heavier stuff. I prefer casting, but ai do a lot of flipping and pitching with jigs.

I might have to just get the NRX 854 for my jig fishing. Can anyone comment on the balance with say a 6-7 ounce reel? I really appreciate the help gentleman.

BTW, can you imagine the feel I would have using braid on an NRX? that would just be incredible.

Glx 893
Nice, I'll look into the NRX models instead. My only concern is that I use braid. I don't want to snap a $500 rod and have to pay $100 to get it replaced. If you guys think the NRX is too brittle for braid and pitching to laydowns, I'll pass and get a Zillion rod. That is just out of the question for me. But, if it's a strong rod that will handle the wear and tear of braid, I might just go for it. Real talk though, I can't deal with a broken NRX, LOL.

Glx 893
Lately I've been on the hunt for a high end rod that I might get at the end of the summer! Been thinking about an NRX or GLX for a dedicated jig rod. Anybody use the 893 for 1/2 oz. jigs? It would double as an all-around bottom bouncing rod. Not a pitching or flipping rod, just for throwing jigs around (not in) cover and bottom fishing on structure.

What Condition(S) Would This Jig Be Good For
I would just swim it to imitate a shad! Probably won't ever see me throwing a white jig on the bottom.

New Curado?
Screw the Lew's! That Chronarch would look too sweet on a Zillion rod or Cumara.

Cape Cod Bass?
My family vacations on Cape Cod every summer for two weeks. Are there any good little ponds for shore fishing? My mom expressed interest in making a day out of it, with a picnic and yada yada. I just wanna catch a couple smallies.

Go with the Avid AVC70MF for the techniques listed. The MH XF is a broomstick.

New Curado?
I'm liking the idea of a Chronarch 50e7 or whatever they will call it. Maybe the F or G series. I really want a sneak peak of the Curado, too. But there's only so much a guy can ask for. I think they will re-do the Compre and Crucial line as well as introducing new NRX's and Cumulus rods. I also think the new Chronarchs will fill the gap between the $180 Curado and the $300 Chronarch price wise.

New Curado?
From another forum: The reel in the picture is the new Chronarch according to a very reliable source who actually got to test it out and fish it. They told me there are going to be price reductions in the Chronarch and Curado series. Each reel is going to come in 5:1, 6:1, and 7:1 models, both will be avalible in the 50 size too.

How Important Is Rod/reel Balance?
More important than how light it is, at least for me!
