  1. I agree. Either way, Curados are amazing.
  2. I really don't know, I bought mine used without it and it outcasts AJ's Curados by a lot. I remember reading that it is less friction on the cast.
  3. Less friction, it's the backup anti-reverse. Mr. Franchot, correct me if I am wrong on the name of the part sir.
  4. If you take out the anti-reverse pawl, probably the Curado.
  5. I love it. It's beginning to feel like bassresource again.
  6. I think it's a good idea. That way we can tell what's good and what's not. Weed out the stupidity.
  7. Agreed, I would snap 20# braid frog fishing where I am. 50# is the lightest I would go.

Thanks everybody. Every time I look at these pictures, I just think about how healthy these fish are. They look like little footballs!
  9. Hahahaha......hahaha. Nice fish.
  10. I just felt like being a smartass.
  11. He's saying go with a 25# leader for 50# braid.
  12. That would be double the price.
  13. Yeah, I don't see why you would ever put stiff 12# flouro on a spinning rig... 6# CXX would work much better.
  14. Well, I would rather catch an 8 pounder in a four hour trip than 8 four pounders. I would take the size any day, unless the body of water doesn't hold too big of fish. A five pounder is considered a "good" fish, while an 8 is considered a "big" fish. At least for me.
  15. Baby Rage Craw. They just flat catch fish.

Just look at how healthy those fish are. Man, they were beautiful. We were three pounds away from one of our season goals. Now we need a 9 pounder!

Hookingem and I had an absolutely outstanding day again, catching 6 bass over 4 pounds! Our best 5 would have gone roughly 22 lbs. I have pictures of the last 5, the first one was out of the water for a while and instead of weighing her and getting a pic, we decided to throw her back in and revive the lovely lady. AJ caught them all on a little Bandit 100, I caught mine on a swim jig. AJ got four, I got two. D-a-m-n you, little crankbait. I have been slaying them on a swim jig lately. Deffinitely a new confidence bait. Now, for the pics. AJ's second nice'un of the day, little over 4. Me with a 4 and a half that SLAMMED a jig as I was burning it across the surface. Next cast I got a nice little four pounder on the swim jig. AJ and I had a tie for the big girl of the day, this one came on his D-A-M-N crankbait. Then he wrapped up the day with another four that he swore was over 6 when he was fighting it... AJ is by far the coolest guy I have fished with, and easily the most knowledgeable. Great fun to fish with him, glad I met you buddy! To good friends and big fish!

Might have to stick with my Brauer Premier and Hack Attacks. I like the 1/2 oz. Brauer jigs because the head is a nice shape, and they hold up well. They're also pretty cheap. I just made myself realize I have no reason to change.
  19. I like to throw a jig along weed beds in the summer as well. I didn't fish them too much last summer, but this year they're going to be my main focus. Swim jigs are also great, especially when you get a 5 pounder your first time trying it. HOWEVER, a little 1/4 oz. spinnerbait has been #1 so far this year.

They looked nice, no doubt! I like my free SK's as well. PS- now that you put me on a dropshot fish, I'm gonna get you to flip till you get a 5+.
  21. That'll be a great rod for you man. Congrats on the purchase!
  22. I really like the looks and price of these. I may have to pick a few up next time I make a jig run. Gonna be throwing the jig a lot this year! Anyone using them?
  23. I'm more scared of geese and frogs/toads.
  24. Gotta be over 7'. So the 7'2 M/XF Crucial that's NOT the dropshot rod is a pretty stout little medium? Sorry, just trying to figue this out!
  25. Agh, maybe I should just save a bit more and get the 7'2 M/F Cumara. I have fished a 6'6" MH/F Crucial Casting rod, and it fished like a medium. Grr.
