I totally agree. Ever big fish I currently remember catching I didn't even fell the bite, I just went to work the bait and it wasn't there. Here is a good example. I also noticed that big fish (in ponds at least) pick up the bait and immediately start swimming to deeper water.

I kinda doubt that would happen.........notice the big mouth,yet skinny body of his fish. The fish had some age to it ( big mouth,and eyes) however the girth just doesnt match it's length,due to the effects of the tumor..........my "W.A.G." I agree. Thatr fish wasn't very healthy. It had an identical bump on the other side of the spine adjacent to the visible one. It looked like it had huge delts.

I really like the 832. I've used PP for way too long and love the heck out of it, but I think I like the 832 more. It's a little light colored though, just get a Vicious Braid Dye marker.

what does it flat out suck for? No doubt I would use fluoro over braid in certain situations, but I have yet to find a set up that braid "sucks" at. Freezing air temps Concrete and or steel structure Zebra/quagga mussels Coontail on certain lakes - has zebes growing on it Deep smallie fishing. You simply get more bites on fluoro. Pretty much any treble hooked bait. And catfishing in a rocky river. Never do that. That's where P-Line CXX is put to use.

I fish a pond VERY similar to the one you are describing. I love the pond. I've caught a lot of really good fish from it, and learned alot about fishing a pond with those characteristics. The most productive presentation for me is swimming a Rage Craw, Space Monkey, or Smokin' Rooster on a keel-weighted hook. Experiment with different retrieves. Another is a topwater frog. They can be fished a variety of different ways. Hollow body swimbaits work well too. PM me with any other questions and I'll gladly go into more detail.

Have you called BPS or visited their parts center? I believe they're relatively cheap iirc. I'll probably have to go to the Richmond BPS. I just want one for my Citica, since I fell and bent the stock handle. Plus it would look cool.

What Daiwa reel? I haven't felt a bad one yet, although i've never touched a steez. I like the Advantage HSTA frame and the Zillion frame the most though. Where do you get all of these reels? Do you have a really high paying job for a 15 year old? Just curious. I don't own them, but I have fished my Uncle's HSTA and he recently purchased a Zillion he let me use for about an hour. I should start my job though mid way through this month if all goes right. 8-) Where are you gonna work? I have an internship with the DGIF this summer, and I'll probably work at Green Top or an air conditioning company locally. They pay $17 an hour. ;D

No kidding, I haven't recieved any prototypes, but Rage Tail's changed the way I fish. Best advice I ever got here was probably think in the perspective of the fish; what they see, think, and what their reaction would be to certain presentations in different situations.
