There aren't too many country groups coming about these days that are worth listening to and I don't think these guys are any different.

There really aren't too many new country singers that are worth listening to either. This is all my opinion of course.

The Foundation is an all time classic country album.

The best part about Zac Brown band is that they have actually been around for a long time.  I remember six years ago watching them play at a small bar in Michigan on country night.  They were great then but nobody had heard of them yet.  What a great show to see them play in a small venue for like 60 people.

I don't really think Josh Thompson thinks he is better than everyone else.

In that song he is just saying how they live and if people don't like it, they don't have to go there.

The older listeners hate it..I can respect that.

It's the same thing with me and older rap music,I hate the new stuff out there right now as far as rap goes.

I admit I'm not much into the thick, almost manufactured hick accent that seems so prevalent in country now.

And I'm a BIG fan of southern accents....but I grew up in the country. Heck, my family raised horses, cattle, barrel raced - the whole bit. I can't remember ever hearing people talk like some of these "country" singers twang it up.

THIS is a beautiful southern accent (as well as a beautiful, well-written song by an almost-forgotten artist)

Shoot.....I'd take Haley Williams singing country over half of the girls I hear now, and she's about as far from country as it gets.

Not saying Josh Thompson himself in particular.In the song they say things like WE won't take a dime if we aint earned it, or "because its most of US that end up serving over seas". If he means us by americans and everyone in our country, then yes.But he's making it sound like they're some whole other race of people
