Powell Endurance Review
Wow how does it balance? I really might consider one now. Always wanted to try one, but I've always heard they were tip-heavy. It's all about balance for me.

How old is too old for backing line?
If I hook into a Carp I'm putting my equipmemt to the test. That fish ain't stripping me down to the backing.

How old is too old for backing line?
It's just there to take up space. It doesn't matter. Just buy the $2 quarter pound spools of Zebco or whatever line it is from Dick's.

Rod for Shimano Curado 201E7
I agree, their rods are VERY powerful. I wish I could circumsize my Cumaras though.

Rod for Shimano Curado 201E7
For worms and jigs: Cumara, Avid, Cara t7, the list goes on. What will it be used for?
-
recommended line weight on baitcasting rod should you or not follow by it?
x2, but if you're switching from a rubberband like Stren Original, DO NOT snap a hard hookset.

Copolymers for topwater?
How easy is AbrazX to manage? I might eventually get a spool for my Curado to throw t-rigs with. Then again, I might just stick with Yo-Zuri 12#. Do you still have a rig with AbrazX?
-
Copolymers for topwater?
x2, I bent a flippin' jig hook on a log trying to unsnag it. It was 12 lb. line. Very strong stuff. VERY tough though, hard to manage. I wouldn't feel underpowered throwing 8# or 10# on a baitcaster for jigs and plastics.

And the Bassmaster Classic Winner is:
How did he do it? Like what kind of baits was he using? That dude is really unbelieveable.

fishin with the kids!
Haha, I like his cowboy boots. When I was little I had a pair and a cowboy hat. My mom has a picture of me wearing just the boots and hat while I was taking a dump. Haha good times. Nice fish man.

2/20 Fishing my "honey hole" with RW
Wow, another picture of RW! I'm impressed Kent, LOL. Nice fish.

NRX
Or you could use an NRX WITH braid and have the most unreal combo ever, especially if you had a sub-6 oz. reel. I do know what you're saying Chris.

Show off your Stuff
Anybody know what happened to -HAWK-? Haven't seen him in a while, figured since he was the OP I would bring it up.

Sell all that junk and buy a d**n boat.

tungsten weights
TW, you can just pull the inserts out. If I want a size that is out of stock I buy the version with the insert and use pliers to pull it on out.

Wow, great collection man. Love my Cumara.

Ardent reels
Just another reason I'll never own an Ardent. That's such a joke.

Baitcaster for St Croix LTB Rod
Advantage is good for big baits, but it's a hoss and probably wouldn't be good for smaller baits. I would get a Curado 50e.

Monkeying Around with the Space Monkey...
Flipping small timber on 25 fluoro hybrid, 1/2 oz tungsten with weight stop (bobber stop) in 14 ft of water... They were on the edge of the drops in creek channels in front of spawning flats Big O www.ragetail.com Wow, you really have it down. Mind if I ask what rod/reel you were using? Fat-G, The Rod I built myself from 2 rods... An old Quantum Handle and a 7' Lumas heavy action Blank put together to make it 8'4" overall length. The reel is either a KVD or a Shimano Curado... don't remember which is on it right now but I like'em both. Big O www.ragetail.com 8' 4" - Man, you're not messing around ! So does that stick double as a push pole ? A-Jay Wow, that's a beast of a rod. Mr. Parks will fear NO fish, LOL!

camera question.
Hey Chris- I would love to hear what you have to say about this. Can you dumb it down though? I know a little bit about photography but I'm not on the level of John or soccplayer07. Before I fish a spot I pre-rig my point and shoot Canon SX120IS on a tripod.

Everglades fishing 2-18-11
Fishing is always better with a lip. Looks like a great day man, congrats. Did you get a Cumara yet?

Braided Line
x10 on the Diawa Samurai but I use 70# There is NO better braid. I like the Samurai too, but to me it's almost "too" good. It's so limp it feels like silk. The color is too light for my liking, also. I love my PowerPro, but I recently have been using 832 with very good results.
