One lure for Winter
I'd suggest everyone pick up/try out a finesse jig this Winter. I know a lot of you already know about using these, but for those of you who don't they are pretty darn good in the Winter. 1/8-1/4 oz is my preference, tipped with a small craw trailer. This is a phenomenal bait in the Winter! My favorite colors are brown/orange with a green pumpkin trailer. One of my top three baits in the Winter.

A nice LMB for me
x2. I've had days where I fish for 6 hours in 16 degree weather, can't feel my hands, and maybe catch one fish, but it still was a great time!

Finally caught a decent fish
After a couple of weeks without fishing (broken foot, flu, vacation) and a long big-fish drought, I finally caught a decent sized fish today. First time using the Culprit 12 inch worms (Grape Shad) and they are definitely a big fish bait. Only bite I got the whole day. Now I need to catch an 8. http://s709.photobucket.com/albums/ww96/Fat-G-2009/?action=view¤t=12inchWorm-Fish1001.jpg

Fun day, lots of fish, and a big ol' surprise
Went fishing yesterday for a while, caught a ton of fish. I was using a 2 inch black/chartreuse tube, and was trying to catch a small bluegill to use for a big girl. The problem was, I could only catch bream the were as big as Tennesee. Wait..... that's not a bad problem to have! All in all caught about 30 fish. Mostly bream and bass, but I also caught two crappie. Fun day!

Couple ideas for a jig rod
Alright, I've been looking around again for a jig rod. I really like the look of the Falcon BuCoo 7' Heavy, and also like the look of the Diawa Light & Tough 7' Heavy. Which is a better overall rod for jigs, big worms, and a little swimbait action?

New to fishing, how can I learn?
Sheeesh seems like a pretty nice boat to have as a first. I would say the best way to learn about fishing is to do what your doin'. Ask questions. Anything you have a question about, ask. Also buy a couple packs of Senko-type baits and learn to fish those. But before you ask questions about them read this section: http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1121527643. This website will help you a tremdous amount. Good luck. And like Sam said, read, read, and read.

- Need Help!!! Stren vs. P-Line
Sorry for not making this clear. I want the two pound diameter line to cast the 1 inch grubs a mile. Hehe sorry!- Need Help!!! Stren vs. P-Line
One of my good friends is a guide on the James River, and to collect his gills he is casting 1 inch grubs on 1/32 oz. jigheads. He is using Stren two pound line. Lately I have been thinking of getting into trophy largemouth fishing with live bait, and need an easy way to get some gills. I have P-Line eight pound test on a 2500 Sahara, but it has the diameter of a six pound class line. I was thinking about getting some P-Line four pound test, and I figured it would have the diameter of two pound test line, but I can't find this info ANYWHERE online. Can anyone help me??- What's Your Favorite Type of Strike?
Amen. Reeling up the slack and stepping back as you lay it in is probably my favorite too. I also like when you're working a jig and you go to bump it off the bottom and the line is slack, and a piggy is swimming away with it- Check out this one!
