Any College Basketball Fans?
Hell yeah I like College Basketball! Matter of fact, I love it! UNC fan all the way. How do you think there gonna do this year? Personally I think it's gonna be a completely different team. Ty and Tyler gone, I really don't think they'll own the court as much. However, I think Roy will have 'em pressing, pressuring, and whippin' the ball around just as much My dad's friends with Roy, and he's a great guy and coach.

BPS Price Increase
I agree with a lot of you. $8 bucks for 10 worms? NO WAY. Considering that most of the fish you catch on them will be dinks, that's insane.

GMAN is the man. His service is awesome, not to mention the quality of his jigs.

Lightning Rod 7'6" H- Big swimbaits
As some of you may know, I'm about to get a couple of Lightning Rods, and I was wondering if the 7'6" model will be okay for throwing swimbaits like the Tru-Tungsten 7" Gill. I know it's not meant for that, but will it do? I really want to get into the whole big swimbait craze, but I need a cheap rod. Thanks.

10 lb. or better
First off, I'd be happy with the fish in your avatar ;D Second, Bizz knows a thing or two about hawgz. Third, use anything that starts with j and ends in ig. Tipped with a brush hog.

HUGE dissapointment
So, as it turns out, my I'm not going to be able to buy the Powell 705c. Actually, I won't be able to buy any nice rod. Lightning rods will replace my Cherrywoods. I know. Terrible. But, from a more mature point of view, a fifteen year old that doesn't fish tourneys doesn't need a $140 rod. Plus, I have the rest of my life to get nice equipment. The Lightning rods will serve me well. Plus, my Shimano Callisto and 6'6" MH Cherrywood have caught me at least 30 fish over five pounds. That begs me to ask the question: Do we really need to spend $500 for a rod and reel? Yes ;D Just not right now ;D

Got me a big fish!
Went out to a local pond today. Air temps were mid 40's, water temp was a lot colder than I thought it would be. Anyways, I was using a Mop jig tipped with a Brush Hog (just asking to catch a giant). Caught 4 bass, including this little piggie, which went five pounds even. http://s709.photobucket.com/albums/ww96/Fat-G-2009/?action=view¤t=BigBass001.jpg

cold rain/muddy water
I agree with a lot of these folks. I pretty much fish any conditions, all year round. And, I have caught fish in basically all of them too. What I do when this happens is throw a smaller profile spinnerbait, preferably chartreuse with gold blades. Another option is to throw a big, brightly colored lipless crank. Fish can be caught, but they are usually hard to come by. Or, you could just light up a nice cigar and enjoy the scenery

Jig swapping and alterations.
I like to downsize my jigs. I will usually use a finesse jig, in a natural color
