Where Are The Minnesotans?
I love that the bass fishing popularity is behind muskie, walley, and smallies here in MN, because like you said shimmy, it doesnt get much better imo than MN bass fishing. We dont have to deal with pressured lakes, and we can always cant on highly vegetated lakes, which fits perfectly into the way I fish. As far as the big fish lakes, I honestly think most of the lakes are hiding some BIGGINS, but you have to take the time to study each specific lake to find them.

Erie Darter
It doesnt get much better than the eeirie darter!

Brush Piles
Edwin Evers just did a segment on Bass Pros about making his own brush piles. He cut down willow branches, tied them up with wire, and sent them to the bottom with a block.

Best Rat/mouse Bait
Snagproof Boss Rat is a good one, but I don't think bass are going to hit a mouse bait more often than a frog, so I find myself throwing a frog more often than anything else.

Your Favorite Deep Diving Crank?
Have you used the 7+ and 10+? As good? I bought a bunch of em, but haven't had the chance to throw them yet.

Best Finesse Jigs And Trailers?
NorthStar finesse jigs and Bitsy Bugs. They both catch fish, but the NorthStar jigs are built for more than 2 fish each.

Your Favorite Deep Diving Crank?
I use a VERY similar color that works well in my neck of the woods

Your Favorite Deep Diving Crank?
The key is to get a variety of baits in 3-4 confidence colors, because you NEVER know what the fish are going to want on a paticular day. Depth is another deciding factor on what I throw. If I need to get down to the 19-20 range, I am picking up my DT20's because I know they are going to get down there in a hurry. If you are talking 10-12 ft, there is imho NOTHING that touches a deep little N. I have caught so many of my bass (and they are generally better fish) on this bait when nothing else is catching a cold. It comes down to trial and error and learning what action they want, the depth they are at, and like Holigan mentioned, the best crank for the conditions.

Jigs
This is the size I use the majority of the time in the summer in about 5-10ft. It has a nize fall rate that I get bit on more than the other sizes. When the water cools down or I go up shallow, I will start with a 1/4 oz and when I am fishing deeper or they are more active, I will throw a 1/2 - 1oz I am mostly fishing lakes with a lot of vegetation, so I throw the NorthStar Custom Baits grass jig most of the time. Rocks = Football head

Berkley Question
The hand poured 7" worms have nice movement to them and seem to attract the bigger fish

Spring Time Jig Trailers
Kiss craw or paca tiny craw or baby craw depending on what they want on that paticular day.

Shadalicious Score!!!!!!!
We had the same deal here in MN...I tried the larger one thinking it might be a little too large, but ended up catching my biggest bass of the year on it!

Crayfish Baits
Why not? A lot of the lakes I fish up here do not have crayfish in them and I catch most of fish on either a t-rigged paca craw or jig/paca craw. I have never bought into the notion that bass will only eat what is in their normal diet. I believe it engages their curiosity more than anything. Take a mouse for instance; how often do bass do mice swimming along? They are one of my favorite top water baits.
