  1. nice fish next time you should try and throw a money minnow in the pads and have some great fun, burn it or reel it slow doesn't matter. i like a rattle around the outsides of lilly's too.
  2. Then order 6 or more, you need different colors anyway, and you want two different lures, so 3 or 4 of each kind in different colors
  3. order from gander mountain, no shipping fees
  4. that's rough stuff, around my area we don't have too many issues, lots of other stuff going on but no one breaking into cars much anymore especially at boat ramps. thats too bad
  5. oh yeah don't forget chatterbaits and spinnerbaits of all sizes, mostly white and chartruese colors though
  6. get some junebug anacondas, yum dingers, and wooly bugs, havoc pit boss, square bill bomber a, and kvd silent 1.5 and 2.5 squarebills, spro aruku shad, xcalibur rattle baits,
  7. i throw a mini white chatterbait too that has been doing well recently
  8. junebug anaconda, yum dinger purplish, good stuff
  9. i'll still go all throughout the day
  10. get money minnows, or lake fork shads, you wont be disappointed, i especially like to throw a soft swimbait in lilly pads, but shhhhh its a secret lol
  11. anything rage is a good thing. great products. junebug works best for me, anacondas are some of my favorite worms, and nothing compares to a rage toad, they are ridiculous, well except maybe the shad...
  12. yeah they are sweet, i've got the okeechobee craw pattern. devils spear is good too. mike ike and skeet reese did well very well
  13. sounds like a fun and productive day good job
  14. anaconda worms junebug 7 or 10inches, culprit worms firetails, tequila sunrise, shakey head with straight tail trigger x watermelon redflake, and never forget wacky worms i like yum dingers or senkos anything purple or green or mixed, and an xfactor bob n weave, pearl or something else bright.. i also like to troll a rattle bait to find schools, this has served me very well, i toss either a 1/2 oz or 3/4 oz spro aruku shad, or an xcaliber doesn't matter what kind, troll around points and drop offs with your trolling motor going on 3 to 4, i've got a 14ft jon boat not very wide and use a 35lb thrust.
  15. i normally dont have problems with the community ponds that i fish.
  16. So yesterday I took my 5yr old son on his first boating/fishing trip, and man was it both a blast and trying. It takes a whole WHOLE lot of patience to make that kind of trip lol. We got to the water at 11 and stayed until 5. We didn't catch too many but the experience was a good one, he had an absolute blast. He reeled in two but caught three, he was kind enough to let me reel one in for him while he nibbled on a brownie. I was like thanks buddy for letting me catch a fish and he says "No daddy, that's my fish" lol. I pulled in four myself in the limited amount of time I found to cast my rod. But all in all its was a great day, its hard to beat a child's smile
  17. I like a spinner in ponds and stuff not much luck outside of that
  18. dicks sporting goods have field and stream rods with split grips and look sharp for $60 made with IM7 graphite. they are technique specific too, but that really doesn't matter just grab that rod bend it a bit and see if you like it. you could also check out denali rods they have some nice stuff in your range.
  19. that is an awesome post... i am a big time tackle addict. i have to get a bigger tackle box every season, and its still never enough.
  20. YES, yes they can. my brother has one, its a great reel. i fish with a carbonlite, pflueger summit, and a pinnacle something, the name escapes me lol but i would not hesitate to recommend a PQ, neither would Edwin Evers!!!!!!!!!
  21. my crankin setup is my 7' M mod action carbonlite combo. nice setup 6:4:1 ratio, works well for me. i've got a brother in law who uses an ugly stick for crankin and does well enough
  22. slap it on a carbonlite they are great rods, ive got a 7' ft medium for cranking and my brother has a 7' mh for just about everything. on sale now i think, or a pro qualifier. they are great rods too. as far as looks goes though nothing beats the veritas, i will eventually buy one myself mostly for that reason
