Knee Replacement
Good luck. That sounds incredible that there's a possibility of fishing three weeks after surgery. Hope it happens.

Anyone Else Feel This Way...
I agree 100%, having been heavily into forums for almost 14 years. I've tried searches a few times and more often than not they did not provide the information I was looking for. Also, I think without repeats there'd be considerably less traffic on any given forum.

Washington Redskins
That name is toast. It doesn't matter what you, I or others think about it, the die is cast. The President has chipped in, Goodell has backed off somewhat from his previous support and I can only see this movement snowballing until the owner is backed so far into a corner that he feels there's no longer a choice.

I Have An Interview. I Think. Help? Edit : Got The Job :)
I disagree with the advice to ask about the various job benefits. What you are trying to accomplish in an interview is to sell the interviewer on your high level of interest in the company, your skills and how you can help the company attain its sales and profit objectives. The time to talk about salary and benefits is when (and if) you get an offer. By showing too much interest in what's in it for you, you could possibly deter an offer. Good luck.

Fall Topwater
I don't fish deep into the fall, but I don't rule out topwater and have had excellent results in water as cool as low to mid-50s.

Espn Why No Dedicated Fishing Channel?
Bingo! I could almost guarantee that ESPN would show fishing 24/7 if it drew more viewers than SportsCenter, various games and other shows. As to Saturday mornings, the same question was being asked when I started fishing 40+ years ago. Obviously, there are enough watching at that time to make it worth their while and clearly it wouldn't pay to show the programs at better viewing times. We just have to accept the reality that fishing isn't much of a spectator sport.

Spinnerbaits
I don't think there's one correct answer, because you could use different size blades on the same bait if you wanted more or less lift. But for an average size, I'd start with a trip to the tackle shop and just take a look at what the manufacturers are putting on their lures.

Morality Questions
I wouldn't have a mount of any size, because I wouldn't know what to do with it. But I'd have a fit if I didn't get a decent picture. The mount thing is a personal preference and I have no problem if others want mounts. As to the fish that likely won't survive but isn't a legal size to keep, it gets thrown back. The agency that made the regulations knows that some fish die in the hooking and catching process.

Trouble With New Baitcaster
I suspect it's just a learning curve and your problems should diminish with more practice.

Braided Line Bleeding?
I've never seen bleeding, just fading. The fading doesn't affect me, as I figure a lighter green isn't gonna be any better or worse than a darker green.

You Should Never Use A Rod To Lift A Fish Into The Boat
I couldn't find anything fishing related at that link. Probably not the best habit to lift fish into the boat, but I do it a lot. I think I've broken one rod doing it.

On The Hunt. Looking For A Classic Steinway Baby Grand
Robert, I found out officially what I was almost positive of, that it's not for sale. Just for the record, it's a parlor grand, not a baby grand and is a 1933 model.

Hooks On Rat-L-Trap
If I recall correctly, the standard 1/2 oz. Trap had a #4 on the belly and a #6 in back, or possibly two #4's.

Line Question
I hardly qualify as a rod expert, but I think the rating is based on line strength, not diameter. As in go too strong and the line could break the rod and go too light and the line could break before loading the rod. When using braid heavier than the mono rating, the advice was always to ease off on the drag to compensate for the greater strength.

Will A Bass Hit Twice?
Years ago I used to frequently fish lily pads with soft jerkbaits at this particular lake at a time when the pad fishing was good. I used to almost always get a strike after a boil and never a strike after the fish made contact. That formed my opinion on the subject and I recall only one fish since that I know for sure that struck after previously making contact with the lure.

What Size Net For Bass?
From my canoe I use an old net with a 13x17 hoop and 12" handle. This has been more than adequate for bass up to 6#. From the bank I'd want a longer handle, so I'd look for a telescoping handle for versatility. I just use the net when I feel I have to. Normally that's on a fish hooked with trebles and too large to swing into the boat or a fish so buried in weeds that I can't see it.

If only we knew in advance.

Ou Vs Texas
I don't have a rooting interest for or against either team, but I was rooting for UT today. Also, I suspect most of the country that's not OU fans were doing the same for no other reason than for the embattled Mack Brown.

Line Too Small?
Moderate or heavy cover are subjective terms which might mean different things to different people. I've fished in cover which I'd describe in those terms with 15# braid.

On The Hunt. Looking For A Classic Steinway Baby Grand
This isn't going to help you, but my mother was a concert pianist and later a piano teacher and owned one which was 1940s or earlier. The piano is still in the family but I seriously doubt it's for sale, although if I should learn otherwise, I'll let you know.

Pond Paradise!
Just curious, is this pond private or accessible to the public?

A First For Me
Sorry for the problems but I bet you're glad that you're physically able to deal with them. Keep up the improvement.

Crankbait Gear Question
It's been said that a one-step change in line size is worth about a foot of depth.

My Son Got A Nice Pike
Very nice. Any idea as to the size?
