  1. Hey, quick question. Any idea why my buzzbait runs off to one side. When looking at the bait it tracks to the left. Is this a problem. Any ideas on how to fix it? Thanks
  2. I seem to catch more fish on a Super Hog than on a Brush Hog. For some reason all the flapping appendages don't do it for the fish I go after. They seem to like the profile of the bait. I just split the tail down the center and leave the appendages the way they are. Matter of fact I had 1 Green Pumpkin Hog left, and that was the color they were hitting, but the appendages broke away from the body and were flapping around. I did not catch another fish on it.
  3. I have a float tube and I must say it is a blast to fish from. My only concern about them is putting a hook into the tube, causing a hole. However, here is PA it is required that you wear a PFD, so at the very least I will float. I too wear waders while in my float tube. I will never go in the water without my waders. The float tube is light and I can put in into water in which you cannot get a boat in, such as quarries and ponds. This allows me to get to the spots nobody else can fish.
  4. I have owned a handful of Revo's. Some STX's, an SX and an SC, now I have a Revo S and have found it to be the easiest of the lot to cast. In my opinion it handles similar to a Shimano. It has the best braking system of the Revo's. It is a very solid reel.
  5. I have a new Curado and a new Energy. They are at the same price point, but I must say the Curado will out perform the Energy any day of the week. I have also owned and used a few 50mg's, Sols and STX's. I must say the Curado is EVERY BIT AS GOOD! It cast's smooth, and effortlessly. It is by far one of the best reels I have owned.
  6. I have owned some STX's, and an SC. I can say that I bought the S because I was not a fan of the mag brakes. I think that the 6 pin braking system on the S is great. I had a major problem with backlashes with the STX's and SC. I would go with the S.
  7. Thanks guys. I am actually not new here, I just keep forgetting my login information, and have to keep creating a new account. I will let you all know how I do.
  8. Anything? I'm not looking for hot spots, I am just curious to know if there is a healthy population of bass. I know it has Pick's. Is this place worth the time? Thanks.
  9. I started using 20-30 pound braided line because I was sick of losing lures in trees, snagging on rocks, etc.
  10. Hey all you PA guys, I have a quick question about this lake. I was wondering how the fishing was on this lake? I know its choked with weeds. Anything you guys got would be great .My friend and I are planning on going up there this Saturday. Thanks.
  11. I would love to fish in the aquariums at Cabelas.
  12. Hey Muddy that fish was bigger. If it was the same fish that I had come unbuttoned at that one lake it went an easy 10. I seen that thing when I was about to lip it, and he spit my lure right back in my face. I have caught plenty of 8's to know this was AT LEAST 10, maybe even 12? I feel you pain.
  13. The same thing happened to my friend 2 days before the PA opening of bass season. It was my first bass kill in 6 years, that I know of. Not only did I feel bad that I could not revive her but I also felt bad that I had to let a 3 pounder float in the water, dead.
