Abu Garcia SX vs. Shimano Curado 200e7 and a Rod
I know you wanted replies from people who have experiences with both reels, but I only have an SX and I love it. It casts great, is light weight, and for me is very comfortable in my hand. I would rather have all my reels the same as well and sticking with all SX's will be much cheaper.

Rod weight question?
I have a BPS Johhny Morris Sig Series on one of the Nitro rods and that thing is HEAVY. Especially when I am used to fishing with my Revo Sx on a JoMo Series II.

BPS Rod Returns/Exchanges?
The reason they didn't exchange the rod is because Bass Pro has their own warranty program. It's called a "Gear Guard" and was offered to you when you purchased the rod.

Reality Show....
I'm not really a fan of the shows on versus. I prefer the ones on Outdoor Channel and Sportsman.

Carrot Stix Question
I heard a lot of issues on here about them breaking. No personal experience except using a friends rod for a few casts. After hearing all the issues I decided not to buy one when I had the chance.

Grass Pig
thats what I was thinking when I saw em. Maybe if they made shorter ones like 3.5" it could be even better.

Salmon and trout fishing - what gear and lures to use?
Average on the Kenai is 40-50#. yeah the very beginning of the run will be in mid may. The record was caught in may (the 17th sounds right but I could be wrong). Like I said though 1oz pixies and size 5 or 6 vibrax. Less than 100 days till I go back.

Pike set ups
I use the C4 as a musky reel. Its a nice reel. But for a pike setup I agree with everyone else. Low profile wiht 50-65# braid and a H rod. Maybe XH, or MH if you plan on chucking some heavy/light baits.

BPS Rod Returns/Exchanges?
Before you could if it was a BPS brand rod. But as of yesterday they will be more strict on returns... but they also lowered the price of gear guards which is an extended two-year warranty. It is a premium warranty and will cover accidents. Some stores will still probably exchange the rod but no promises. @Stasher even with out the receipt they will take returns but you would only recieve the lowest price we have offered it for.

red eye split rings

Hooks for BIG Worms
i throw some 12" on 5/0 or 6/0 depending on various conditions. clearer water or thicker grass I'll use the 5/0. stained water and not as much cover or fishing in wood/structure ill go to the 6/0

Reel settings for pitching with a baitcaster
i usually set it down to about min and then use the dial on my SX. But its all personal preference. Just experiment and figure out what works best.

Went through my tackle today
I have 8 3700 boxes... That bag typically stays in my car while I have the necessities (Spinnerbait, crankbait, rattletrap, jigs, hooks, weights, few bags of plastics, pliers, scale, camera, water bottle) in my hunting fanny pack. I'm pretty much stranded to the shore for now.

EVA Knobs
I do the same thing right now but would almost prefer a slimmer knob? maybe its just me? how bout cork knobs? i have seen lots of pics of cork on zillions
-
RUBBER BAITS
I have all my plastics in a plastic bin. When I pond fish I grab a few different bags and throw em in my fannypack or pockets. If I'm going on a trip I try to cram as many as I can into my tackle bags

New line?
If they were in your basement then you should be good to go. Especially with yo-zuri

EVA Knobs
Few questions about EVA knobs... Where can I get eva knobs for my BC's? How do I switch them out? Are most compatible with these reels: Revo SX, BPS PQ, BPS JM Sig Series What are the advantages?

treble hook colors
Whats your evidence to support that? I have both normal and red hooks (trebles and ewgs) and honestly tend to lean towards the black ones because the red comes off easily and then the gold is exposed. I was just wondering if you had any evidence to say that.

Fishing ponds just after ice out?
I also do a lot of fishing on residential ponds in North east Illinois. The main one I usually fish is about half way open. I'll be burning and yo-yoing red eye shads. If that doesn't work I'll slow roll white or chartreuse spinner baits. And during all this I'll be slowing it down with 1/4 oz t-rigs, beavers on spot removers, and jigs.

another Line Question: braid vs fluor. Which one is more sensitive?
braided line is more sensitive than flouro and mono. even on slack line.

treble hook colors
i usually switch out the back

Salmon and trout fishing - what gear and lures to use?
I went last year and am going back for three weeks this summer. Blue Fox Vibrax and Pixies are the best. I'm not sure what will be running in may though... try smaller sizes for rainbow and graylings maybe. pm me for more info
