Shimano Citca vs Daiwa Tatula CT. Which one? Any other reel for under $150?
I'd give it a few months. All of the Tatula prices drop after a while at certain online retailers. It's why you can get the Tat CT for $100 and the type R for $130. Even the Tatula rods can be had for $100.

Light rod
The 6'9" Kistler KLX MH is 3.6 oz. I love the 7'3 MH I have and that rod even feels like it weighs nothing. They're great rods.

Booyah One Knocker
Wow this happened a while ago huh. Dunno how I missed that and haven't seen these before now. Gonna have to pick up a few because that xr50 has always been killer for me.

Booyah One Knocker
I have an XR50 in a craw color that has always been a big producer for me. Saw these booyah ones in academy and it looks like the same lure even down to the color. Did booyah take over production on the same ones after Excalibur was no more?

You can get the type R for $130 and the regular CT for $100. That makes them really hard to beat IMO.

Any Pelican Bass Raider Owners Out There?
Been out in mine a few times now. Got the 55lb thrust motor working. Already catching a lot of bass out of it. Also bought a 30lb trolling motor. Gonna use the 30 on front and the 55 in the back. The extra battery will also help offset the problem of having so much weight up front.

Rage Tail Craw vs. Zoom Ultra Vibe Speed Craw vs. V&M Wild Thang Craw
They all work. I really like the Yum Christie Craw also.

Anybody Ever Get Caught Without Their License?
Mine auto renews so I never have to worry about it. Only ever been checked once and I just said yes I have it and they didn't even check lol.

Culprit Red Shad is different now
That worm is pretty special to me. It's what my grandfather gave me when he gave me my first spinning rod setup and taught me how to bass fish. He swore by them and had multiple huge bass mounted on the wall that he caught on that red shad culprit.

Trolling motor issue
I have a Minn Kota Traxxis 55lb that I received when I bought a used boat. It was working fine the first time I used it and then it suddenly just stopped working. It would work periodically when I'd move it around then stop again. I was messing with it when I got home and realized if I stand it straight up and hit the lower unit against the ground it works. Then if I move or tilt the motor it stops working until I do that again. Any idea what this could be?

Rod for the Revo SX?
Many great options in that price range. St Croix Mojo Bass (the newest gen built on scIII), Dobyns Fury, Daiwa Tatula would be my top 3 though.

Any Pelican Bass Raider Owners Out There?
Took it out today. Caught a bunch of bass including a nice 4lber. Ran into a problem with the trolling motor though. It worked fine at first then just stopped. I got it to work again a couple of times by jiggling the wire and moving the motor around but nothing kept it working.

Any Pelican Bass Raider Owners Out There?
As soon as I say that I find one for $450 with a new battery, a 55lb thrust motor , and a charger. And he has the title.

Any Pelican Bass Raider Owners Out There?
Been checking Craigslist for ages trying to find one of these. Seems like 90% of the people never have the titles and if they do they want near new prices for them. Tempted to just go to academy tomorrow and bite the bullet on a new one.

Daiwa Tatula Casting Rod
I have that exact rod. I like it. It definitely lives up to its taper and power rating though, it's stout. Very light and sensitive though. Very well built as well .

Any other reels I should look at?
I buy all of my reels from eBay, including my 3 CTs. Those sellers on eBay are legit. Most of them are retail stores that just also sell items for cheaper on eBay. Never had any issues. They've all clearly been brand new reels. Triacetackle2016 and departureoutdoors are two I've had great transactions with. Departure got me my ct from Cali to FL in 3 days.

PQ2, The new "best $100 reel"?
It might not be a "fair" comparison but it's a valid one when someone is shopping for a $100 reel. Yes MSRP is $129 but when you can get it 365/7 from a couple different websites as well as eBay for $99 it's always worth recommending to someone looking for a reel at that price. I'm sure the pq2 is a fine reel that will do well for anyone though. I had a older pq that lasted me 6 years until i gave it away. I even used it heavily in saltwater. It was always smooth and the DBS worked very well.

Jig and plastics rod
The bait monkey is trying really hard to get me to buy one of those. I need another rod like a hole in the head though.

cheap vs expensive lures?
The h20 hardbaits are fantastic. Good finish and even pretty good hooks for a cheap lure. Plus they just plain work.
-
Rod & Reel Selection
No that would be an excellent choice. That Tatula mh/f is a great and extremely versatile rod.
-
Lews Speed Spool LFS or Okuma Cerros
SportsmansOutfitters either on their actual website or through their eBay store.

Latest Tackle Purchase Thread (Bait Monkey Victim Support Group)
Tatula CT type R Also picked up a bunch of crankbaits because academy has all their h20 branded hardbiats on sale for $2-3.

Lews LFS vs Tatula CT
Both are fine choices, especially for the prices they can be had for on ebay. With that said I recently sold all of my lews reels and switched to the CT. I like the CT even more than the Lews Tournament Pro I had. Fishes WAY above the $98 you can get them for.

Any Pelican Bass Raider Owners Out There?
So can anyone familiar with florida law tell me how impossible it would be to register one of these with no title? Seems like all of them I find on CL never have a title. I'm assuming nearly impossible and not worth the effort.
