Stick to the PQ and fish with confidence.

first try with feathers
Feather work and weaves are very labor intensive and intricate. Quite an undertaking.

Rod Application
I like a fast action / soft tip Rod for flukes, jerkbaits and top water.

Any Other Ambidextrous Bait Casters out there?
I have and use both configurations but prefer lefties for the most part and always cast right handed. What ever works for you is right.

Shimano Citica 200g
The citica in question is a G and compared to a current chronarch. At least that's how I took it. Plus the E Chronarch was a renamed curado E. It's more cost effective to buy the model you want than to "make one" from a lesser model

What reels do you pair with Duckett Ghost rods
Unless you hold the Rod in front of the reel I don't see how it can counter balance anything. Maybe something smaller that palms and feels better is the way to go.

Shimano Citica 200g
The citica is a fine reel but nothing you do it will make it a chronarch equivalent. Not discouraging you from maximizing the reel just to have reasonable expectations. Carbontex Drag absolutely. Replace the bushing under the drive shaft with a bearing, flush and lightly oil the stock bearings. If you want more out of it have it Super Tuned. Upgrade bearings after that if you still want to.

I like the aero seat a lot.

Finished my first build!
I was thinking the same thing. Bold move to use white on your first try. Nice job.

At what water temps do you expect bass fishing to pick up?
For me bass fishing heats up with the jerkbait bite at 45-47*.

Some reels just arrived back from tuning.
For the most part those parts are available through hedgehog, japan tackle etc.

Shimano aldebaran for pitching reel?
7# of drag is plenty for a bass reel. Sorry I meant the ability to throw light baits and the slightly lighter reel. I think the Carbontex is a good affordable upgrade for any reel.

Shimano aldebaran for pitching reel?
A dry Carbontex drag is a little stronger and plenty smooth but a light coat of Cals makes them super smooth. I run them dry except on light line setups. Either reel will work but whatever advantages the aldebaran offers are negated in that application.

Revo S/SX vs Lews Tournament MB
Who makes a better truck, Chevy or GMC? Those reels share parts and tooling. The SX has a full floating spool if that means anything to you. Just pick the one with the features you prefer at the best deal.

How to rig Keitech Swing Impact Fat
I fish these on a simple ball head jig with a drop of super glue on the collar. Various head shapes have advantages in certain situations but these are simple fish catchers.

Technique specific rods?
Technique specific labels are only suggestions. The power and action and lure weight rating would give an idea what else it would work for.

Do you guys seal the cork on new rods?
U40 is nearly water thin. I don't see any affect on feel either.

Northern PA near lake wallenpaupack
The jerkbait bite on walenpaupack is great when the water hits 45*. Take full advantage of that. Fishing there gets tough once the pleasure boaters kick in.
