  1. Just a suggestion I always use a single hook for frogs but maybe you could purchase some of the owner Twist locks they sell seperately and put them on the double hooks. I would think it would solve the rigging problem.
  2. at $16 each I would hope so. Ya I agree its pricey but if you think how long a crankbait can last compared to another lure like a soft plastic in the long run I would say there way cheaper. Granted if you get I snagged its prob time to go swimming.
  3. I just found a topwater crank I really like. The Rick Clunn wake action by lucky craft in tomato shad. I've been doing really well on it.

I agree I don't think it would be to easy to do but one could hope its possible.

Everyone seems to like the durability of the 3x plastics and the action of the rage tails. I wonder how good a 3x rage tail would be. I personally love both baits but this would seem to be the ultimate in durability and action. Any thoughts?

I just bought some space monkey, chunks and more craws. Can't wait to get out there and try the space monkeys. They look neat. Plus with the four appendages I figure they'll have more action.

I didn't have a problem with the longevity of them they held up well. The problem was when a pickerel decided to attack them that's when I was loosing the claws. It was fine with bass the hook really didn't tear it up.
  8. Great bait I know its been said but 1st time out with it yesterday and they were killin' em. I used a 3/0 owner twist lock hook great action. They were really attacking them even with a claw missing didn't matter can't wait to try more of this line.

I have it in junebug. I do pretty good with it its not what I expected. I thought the flippers would move in the water they seem to stick together I bought them thinking they would put out a fluttering action. But they do get bites I like to twitch them around lilly pads and vegetation.
  10. I have two. One mid range and ones a deep diver I'm gonna get a shallow one soon. They are great crankbaits in my opinion and its nice to be able to turn the rattle off and not have to switch out your bait.
  11. I will check my state regs I didn't even think about that. As for tank size I was thinking a 200 gallon tank. Which should be sufficient for the size they will eventually be.
  12. I've had plenty of tanks in the past but the one I want to do now is with smallies and spoted bass. Not a lot of them maybe 2 of each. But I'm having a problem finding a place to get them. I could pull some smallies out of a nearby pond but would rather not. Anyone know were I could order some the only places I found were for stocking purposes? Also anyone ever try this or have any other advice that would be helpful? Thanks
  13. That's a good idea. I could probably heat the twist lock and then thread it. Thanks.
  14. I got some strike king zeros which I think are gonna be great. Really soft, and salty. I went to try them out today and I couldn't get them on the twist lock. The bait wouldn't thread itself on its to stretchy. Just wondering if anyone else ran into this issue no big deal just new to me. I'll just use a regular EWG hook with no twist lock.
  15. Double uni. The leader length in my opinion depends on the water clarity and the lure your using. You could use no leader or a few feet.
  16. I ordered a Revo stx that was in stock but then my confirmation e-mail said it was back-ordered and will take 30 days to come in. And it seems there are a couple other model revos that are backordered. I'm sure its because everyone like me and you saw it as a good deal which it is. But if you get a backordered reel you'll have the 30 day wait plus the other maybe 6 weeks before you get your glasses. So just keep that in mind.
  17. Ya I would have used TW but had some gift cards to BPS so had to use them but my order was almost 4 bills so the gift cards didn't really make a dent. Thanks §tasher.
  18. Anyone know of any promotional codes or coupons for BPS. I'm putting in a decent sized order in and was looking to shave a few bucks off. Thanks for any help!
  19. Ya it doesn't sound like a 3in would have a lot of wiggle but I saw 2 shows one with jarret edwards the other with J.P. Derose and they were throwing 3in senkos and the wiggle was pretty good so I'm gonna give it a try this weekend.
  20. Thanks I read those post a little while back. But recently couldn't find it while searching. Going fishing this weekend and wanted to use some 3in senkos wacky rigged and was going back n forth on the size. I figure with the cold water the small senkos might do the trick.
  21. Just curious what size wacky hook you guys would use on 3,4, and 5 inch senko?
  22. Ya I pretty much have only used St croix but I think I'm gonna like these just as much if not more. Only time will tell.
  23. Just got my new Dobyns rod today. It seems very nice light and evenly balanced. I'm gonna pair it up with a revo Stx but it hasn't come in yet so we'll see how the 2 feel. I'll update when it comes in. d**n winter can't end soon enough.
  24. I think all companies are gonna start making more eco friendly tackle. And to be honest it seems to benefit fishermen tungsten weights are smaller an more sensitive granted alittle more pricey and I personally like the gulp line. Also the more companies that move to bio baits and tungsten may bring down some prices. Again benefiting us. Win-win in my opinion. I don't think it will effect any companies though. It will probably a simple conversion for them.
  25. Check out cache custom lures there hand pours and have some killer looking double colors! Don't know what they have in grub baits though. I'm gonna be ordering some real soon. Haven't used them yet but am looking forward to it. .
