What do you guys think this bass weighs?
my mistake I was supposed to multiply the length times the length times the girth then divide by 1200, so I just messed it up. 20x20x10/1200 will get it right.

Since coming back to fishing my personal best is a 7.5 lb on lake Hawkins. Salute to all and keep up the great work I love the articles and videos. Sleep Advice
I too have the problem of getting over excited night before a tournament, what I do is lay on the couch and put a boring tv show on and then do really DEEP breathing exercises and that will generally put me to sleep for about 4 hours, and that 4 hours will do me fine until I get off the lake and back home.

So you want to know?
I imigine most of you already know this but some might not. If you are out on the lake and you don't have a working scale, as in you just stepped on it, LOL, here is a formula that will give you a pretty close weight on the fish. You could figure it with this formula measure the length and the girth at the largest part of the belly then multiply the lengthx lenghth x girth and divide that by 1200. So a 20 inch long fish with a girth of 10 inches would be 4000 and then divide by 1200 = 3.33333lbs.

What do you guys think this bass weighs?
That is one good looking fish. If you could tell me the length and girth I could tell you the approximate weight or you could figure it with this formula measure the length and the girth at the largest part of the belly then multiply the lenght x girth and divide that by 1200. So a 20 inch long fish with a girth of 10 inches would be 200 and then divide by 1200 = 3.33333lbs

So You Want To Go Pro
I am also sure there are a lot of guys and gals out there that like me can catch good limits of fish but don't have the money to get in the big pay tournaments, heck I can't even afford a big bass boat, living on social security you have to do just what you can. So I fish out of a 1982 kingfisher stick stear that I paid 1200.00 for and still catch 7-9 pounders and catch 5 fish limits in our little local tournaments in east texas all the time.

Do you reveal your good fishing lakes/spots?
I dont have any problem telling others about the spots where I catch fish or even what bait I caught them on. On several occasions I have pre-fished a tournament and told the members of the club where and what I used and then went right in behind several of them and won the tournament anyway. No two people present their bait the same way and the way I do it will not be the way they do it so they may or may not catch the fish I catch. Besides if the man upstairs intends for you to catch his fish he will let you if he doesn't you can throw until dooms day and that fish won't open his mouth
