  1. Hello :DAlthough There isn't many or very few that size caught up here if any, what was your feeling when you landed your ten pound plus largemouth bass? I have never came close only several over 7lb's but for up here in wisconsin a big fish ;D Junebugman
  2. I remember watching him and his son fishing in lake Taneycomo for big rainbow trout and his other show's for bass and other fish1 I also remember the word's to his song From the lake's of northern canada to the gulf of mexico, wherever fish are bitin' that's where we're gonna go, there's a lot of exciting country just waiting to be explored, join us now in the great outdoor's, world of virgil ward 8-) Now does'nt this bring back some memorie's to those who remember his show. junebugman
  3. Like the old adage goe's, he who hesitate's wait's : But if you find a boat you really like BUY IT becuz someone else will for sure. Junebugman
  4. A friend of mine has a motorcycle battery on his boat for his finder and he just charge's it with a 2 amp trickle charger, he say's it work's great! junebugman
  5. Well guy's and gal's We all go to em', the "teaser" spring sport's show's > For us guy's that live where there are season's for bass fishing :'( What did you see that caused you to go ohhh! and ahhhh! Myself personally, some Dobyn's rod's, ranger commanche's "for 60,000.00!!!!" A very nice Dodge ram 4by4 pick up, forgot the price, probably best anyway lol! Well how about you all? junebugman
  6. I have done the "direct" splice with no issue's, but ideally I plan on using a motorcycle battery for power to my fish finder and mount it to front probably in one of the storage compartment's. Junebugman
  7. Hey man I picked up a 1989 bass tracker tournament tx-17 on ebay for 2400.00, I had a 1989 pro-17 year's ago and me being 6-2 and 275 I never felt "unsafe" in it and it was plenty stable in my opinion. Good luck! junebugman
  8. Has anyone on here seen the commercial with the company that sell's those aluminum welding rod's you use with a bernzomatic torch? That's just my 2 cent's worth which is what those "may" be worth ;D june bugman
  9. My first question i'll ask is, what size water will you be fishing on? how big of a vehicle will you be towing it with? and do you like the boat! I f you like the boat and won't be taking it to Guntersville etc, then it should be fine, several year's ago I bought a used pro-17 that ended up leaking water really bad, it was riveted > The "newer" tracker's are "welded" but I have a buddy's 2006 bass tracker that ended up having a break in a weld and he ended up sending it back to missouri but they fixed it and gave him a new cover to boot! I ended up selling my 350-v ranger becuz I didnt feel "safe" backing it down some of the ramp's with my jeep cherokee and I wasn't about to buy a "new" tow vehicle. If you like the boat and believe it will do all you want it to buy it! And remember it isn't the boat that catch'es the bass it's the guy in the front. junebugman
  10. Hello all 8-) Just thought i'd "throw" this one at ya The opener up here in wisconsin is the 1st weekend in may and the water is usually cool, there are some bigger lake's around but i'm probably going to stick to a smaller shallower lake this year, probably throw stickbait's, some war eagle's, maybe even a pig/jig too! what are you goona do for your opener? Happy cast's junebugmn
  11. He's full of poo-poo! For 160.00 i'll buy another e-21 carrot stick and 2 twelve pack's of my favourite alcoholic beverage oh, by the way can you buy that spray so you can spray it out of a portable washer for making jet-boat's disappear, and the idiot's that ride them? junebugman :-?
  12. Lol!!! Hey guy's i'm not trying to brag ;)The rod's they sell there are not available anyplace else, you might be able to order one though? Never asked them though :-? I guess from a guy who drove 575 mile's to pick up a bass boat and go through chicago rush hour traffic to get home, 2 hr's ain't too much to ask for, I alway's call ahead of time before I go up there anyway to see what they got 8-) junebugman
  13. Hello all! Well bass season up here in "sconny" is right around the corner! I figured I need a new rod, the st.croix out let is a couple hour's away in park fall's wisconsin, and they have a lot of factory second rod's there! Usually the defect's are only a crooked decal or a miniscule itsy bitsy teeny bow in the rod, a couple year's ago I bought a avid 7ft3inch med heavy collapsible rod for 82.00 it retailed for 190.00! The only defect was a crooked decal!! Junebugman
  14. I am sure everyone here has gone ;D to a busy boat ramp or launch, have you ever wished you had your video camera and started recording! I don't know whether to feel sorry or just laugh out loud with some of the antic's I see at the boat landing's I am sure we all have seen it Junebugman
  15. Just thought i'd "throw" this out there I know I live up "north" and the "toad's" don't get as big as the one's down there, but there are some pretty decent bass up here in wisconsin and minnesota. My best was a 23.5 incher caught on a black zoom u-tail 6in worm in 14ft of water The rod was a custom made g-loomis imx 8400 hsr, 6lb trilene xt and a symetry 1500 reel, it would be cool to see what other's have caught too! Junebugman
  16. Look at the 7ft 2 inch fenwick elite tech rod I have one and I like it! junebugman 8-)
  17. Did you check Cabela's? They had a bunch at the one in roger's minnesota, those hank parker one's are good but the wire is so thin everytime you catch a bass, weel you know lol! junebugmn
  18. I know we all have our go to color's, Bet you know mine. Power worm's, Zoom lizzard's, Chomper's Finesse Shaky worm's, I could go on and on with this, but anything junebug! Junebugman
  19. I know everyone has one go to spinnerbait Whats your's, and model? I happen to like the War Eagle brand, caught lot's of bass on em, one of my biggest bass a 23.5 incher on a 1/2 oz "Blue Herring Shad" with chartruese in it. Very rarely fish with anything else except a terminator 1/2 oz white. Junebugman
  20. A very good idea!! 8-) we all know how noisy those aluminum row boat's are I think all us basser's at one time or another fished in one! If it's your boat why not do the floor too? Junebugman
  21. Been there done that > girlfriend didn't know why one back wheel was SMOKING :'( DUHHHH! junebugman
  22. I only buy interstate's, used to buy wal-mart everstart's, but found out they have a lot smaller "cell's" in them! Don't buy em' anymore. Junebugman
  23. I have a 96 jeep cherokee with the 4.0 in it although it pulled my old boat a 350-v ranger ok, at some of the launche's I wished I had a warn winch to keep the boat from pulling me into the water! That's why I bought a smaller boat, 89 bass tracker tournament 17. Junebugman
  24. x's 2! I prefer the scissor's style to the edge style, tho they have made it better! My 2 cent's worth junebugman
