  1. I like tiki lizzard's, rage's work good weightless in heavy vegetation and around pad's and such, chomper's are very good but they aren't durable enough, but bass love that chomper's scent!! junebugman
  2. Although my other casting skill's are good, I have to admit, I need help with my skipping technique, my 1st question is, it best to peg the bait or not? Any and all help would be appreciated! Thank's Junebugmn
  3. I was out last night and wasn't getting much action : with my "regular" arsenal, so I decided to downsize, I ended up using a 1/32 oz shakyhead and a bag of chomper's "junebug" and "huckleberry" colored needleworm's! Caught 6 legal bass in two hour's, lost two 3 to 4 lber's, lot's of fun! Junebugmn
  4. I can honestly say, I have never used one in all my year's of bass fishing, I believe if you have good line, a good knot, good hook set, and can keep it away from the trolling motor and big motor etc, you don't need one! My buddie's think i'm nut's! Anybody out there do or don't use one? Junebugmn
  5. I agree with bass brat I f you are good it does'nt matter where you are in the boat, if you're just fishing for "fun" It's alway's a "turn on" to get a porker the guy in the front missed ;D especially when dock fishing. Junebugman
  6. I have a 6ft8inch g-loomis mossy back spinning rod I broke > :'( I was reaching into my rod locker to grab it and a huskey jerk was on it, well I grabbed the husky jerk and pulled back and about 3 inche's of the tip came with it, it was stuck up underneath the locker in the carpeting! > I wonder if loomis will replace it or what? I have had about 10 to 15 of thier rod's over the year's, anyone had any experience with thier warranty service recently? Thank's Junebugman
  7. It's a good feeling isn't it! Not getting "pickled" for once!! Enjoy your boat!! Junebugman
  8. Just my 2 cent's worth, I have had dual pro's, guest's, pro mariner's, they all work, of the three the pro mariner was the cheapest, a 5/5 or 6/6 I don't remember but in three or four year's never had a problem with it : also you dont need to charge your starting battery your alternator doe's that. Junebugman

  12. THIS!!!!! Is a great topic I still use my Lew's speed spool I bought about fifteen year's ago, have it on my 6ft9inch carrot stick, also sitting out in my entry way is a 1978 mitchell 300 with the "white" spool don't use it though, for a rod it had a Pro-fisherman 6ft6 inch spinning rod on it, caught hundred's of bass on it in my teeth cutting year's! Junebugman

  15. I remember my dad buying me a "south bend" plastic mostly, then later one of those "holiday" spincast reel's and giving me one of his shakespeare "wonder" rod's, putting some blue stren line on it, a couple of hula popper's a silver and black rapala, a heddon crazy crawler, and going bassin' I remember a "big" bass breaking my line and taking the frog colored hula popper though > junebugman
  16. I used these bait's when I first "cut" my teeth bass fishing in the late 70's and early eightie's, caught some dandie bass on em too! Don't know if anyone has any tinsel tail spinnerbait's on here though, they were made by a compnay in minnesota called "pro fisherman" I believe, and the weed wing by Johhny o' neill, and later harrison hogue, Junebugman
  17. Cavitron's are good! But all of my biggest bass on buzzbait's have been on my trusty 3/8 oz or 1/2 oz Lunker lure black with blue mylar strand's in it A tip, before using your "new" buzzbait, if you are in your boat, let it spin on your rod as you're going along, this will make it sqeakier! Junebugman
  18. Go for the Maxxum! They are tough I had one! A 24 volt 65 lb thrust, on your boat i'd go with at least a 70 lb! Junebugman
  19. I got about 200 yard's from the landing and it died > It wasn't sucking fuel! I put a "atwood" plastic tank in it the kind you buy at "china-mart" Well to make a long story short, I got the rig home and put my omc one in and it work's fine Whats up?? ::)I think i'll just look for another omc tank and use the china-mart one to put used oil in> Junebugman

Junebugman

  25. I have a buddy that has a 2005 pro-17 or something, well it developed a leak a weld broke, he sent it back to a local tracker dealer, they ended up sending it to missouri and they "fixed" it and on top gave him a new tracker travel cover to boot! BUT! Who ever said welded hull's won't leak :-? Took hm 4 month's to get his boat back, but he sent it during winter, Junebugman
