set-up for fishing ragetails
In my opinion the rod is perfect and the reel will be fine too. For plastics I use a MH rod with Xtra fast tip. With a 7:1 geared reel you can burn them or slow the presentation down. Should be a great versatile setup.

Carolina Rig Question
It's spawning time here in Tennessee in most of the bodies of water and I was thinking about trying out a C-rigged lizard. I've got the stuff to do it but have never used a C-rig. Is this a good tactic to use during spawn? Also, in your experiences fishing a C-rig does it produce bigger fish at all or the same as a T-rig?

A few questions on what rod to pair with a core
Go with the Cumara! I have the 72 MHXF and the 68MHXF. Both are awesome rods.

Need a good lightweight baitcaster under $200?
You might also want to check out a Daiwa SOl. You can usually find a used one for around 200 or a little less.

Lets Talk Spawn
I am definitely planning on getting a good pair such as Oakley. I guess my main question about sunglasses is if you could have 1 color what would it be? Or are separate interchangeable lenses pretty cheap? I use Costa Del Mar with copper glass 580 lenses. I've had Oakley and tried my buddies Maui Jim sunglasses as well. Costas are by far my favorite and IMHO the best.

Finally got one worthy of a picture today
Guess I haven't caught a decent one in so long that I'm a little off on weights. Is it safe to say that that is a male fish? From what I've read when they make the beds before spawn it often causes their tails to bleed like this one in the photo.

Finally got one worthy of a picture today
I feel like my scale is off but maybe it's just because I haven't caught many big fish. The scale said he weighed in at 5lbs. Does that sound about right? I was thinking closer to 6 but maybe not. I was weighing it with a Berkley 50lbs digital scale.

Finally got one worthy of a picture today
Steezy, I'm planning on coming Monday and fishing with you guys for the day unless something unforeseen comes up. I'd really love to take the week off and fish with you guys but unfortunately my company is in the middle of a major project so I'm not able to take much time off right now. :'(

Finally got one worthy of a picture today
My buddy and I headed out this morning to fish a lake near his house. We caught between 25 and 30 bass. Most were around a 1lb 1/2. All were caught on june bug colored lizards. About 30 minutes before we were leaving I hooked into this one.

Liberto PIXY
I've been wanting to get a Yellow pixy for sometime and was about to pull the trigger on one until I came across this new PX-68R LIBERTO PIXY that is being released this month. I've never had a JDM reel. Any thoughts on this new reel? It looks great.

Fishing Reel Parts
Does anyone know of an online store that I can get the side plate screws for a Daiwa SOL at? I placed an order on Mikesreelrepair.com but it ended up being back ordered. I know I could call Daiwa and order them but was hoping maybe there was a website out their that was fast and easy.

Backing a Trailer, Need some advice
I have a tinted SUV and it's easiest for me to just open up the back glass. Also, some boat trailers you can't see depending on the tow vehicle and trailer. You might also try opening up the whole back hatch to see the trailer. As long as they don't have a bunch of junk to fall out you'll be okay. ;D That said, I'm learning how to do it this way. Seems like a better method:

Re: why fishing regulations cannot work and should be removed
Where I live their are no fishing laws on a season and I'm not to familiar with your laws but here's my thoughts on this. When it comes to hunting on private land, hunting seasons and regulations apply to everyone even if it is your land and it's private. Some states you don't have to purchase a license if your the landowner but that's about it. I've never really thought about fishing since I'm not familiar with these laws but my best guess would be that you can legally fish a private lake out of season. The reason being is because homeowners or the landowners paid to have the lake built and paid to stock the lake with the fish. How could the DNR have the authority to tell them not to fish it?

new spinning setup need rod suggestions
Mikey go with the CI4 and the G.Loomis IMX SJR843S as RW suggested. I have this setup and it is great. The CI4 is definitely worth the money. I liked mine so much I bought another one a week later and I'm more of a baitcaster guy, but had to have another.

Trilene 100% Fluorocarbon
I only use Trilene 100% flouro and Vanish for baitcasting gear. Although I've always seen many negative reviews and opinions on this line I've never had any issues with it or had any reason to swap to a different line. A buddy of mine just started using the Trilene Transition I believe it is, and loves it. I won't use it because the line turns to the color of the water and when it's brown I think it makes all my baitcaster setups look ugly lol. It really does work well though it's like a chameleon!
