I rig mine with a 1/4 jig, I like the screw type bait holder, in with green pumpkin craw. I all so use the paca chunk with a strike king jig. I used on today but no luck...Tried everthing else too...nada.

I usually throw what was on last..unless I get something new. Then I tie it on first....can't wait to try it out.

Mine was a 22" smallmouth with a girth of 14.5".

Thank for the info...I read an article about fishing with craw fish awhile back...this guy took craw fish traps in what ever area he was in and dyed his lure to "match the hatch" so to speak.

I use a 7.1 at 34" per turn( that rating is with full spool BTW), took a little getting used to, but I prefer them now. Just slow it down a bit, works fine for me. G

I have an BPS extreme, only had it since July, Bought last years closeout for $39.77. I fish about two or more days out of the week. I haven't had any problems. Wonder if you took it to a BPS shop and talked to them direct, you'll probably get better results. They have pretty good customer service, might be able to fix it on the spot too.

I was wondering how old a man made lake/pond had to be sustain life and what clues to look for to tell how old the lake/pond is? I stumbled on a community park, looks fairly new. I can see the mesh for erosion control in a few places by the banks. Beavers have moved in and built a lodge in the middle and dropped a bunch of trees that were flooded when they let it fill up. Tons of cover in about ¼ of one end from where the didn't clear the trees ( don't think the thought it would get that big ). Found a dead large mouth, about 16, hard to really tell been dead for a while, could be one somebody tried to turn loose , or what I'm not sure. Thought someone could give me a few pointers. I don't think it is cheating...I just want to fish not go get bait first..I carry my stuff with me during the day and is if I see some where to fish I'll stop in...couldn't do that with live bait...dead bait really stinks up the truck....

I took an picture frame and took the glass out. Put 1/4 mesh on the back, I can hang the lures from the mesh. Can move them change them, works pretty good. Going to put a self under it for the old reels I have too.

I've got a little pocket in my back pack too, my jigs I leave rigged and throw them in with the bag of trailers.
