Walmart clearance section.... yard sales are a good place too.... I bought a Plano tray with 7 rattle traps - all chrome/ blue or black backs for $2.00. Now that does happen all the time, but it is a cheap way to get some lures. I start scanning for rod tips sticking up as I pull up to the sale. I haven’t those.... but I buy the spinners and buzz baits from there, I look harder next time I’m there. Can’t beat them for a dollar. I’ve found good deals in the clearance section too.

Leather skeletool is my EDC. I feel lost with out it, couldn’t believe how much I use the pliers and Phillips #2.

It doesn’t help that they are lifting only the front of there trucks so even the the low beams are blinding.

I was told.....bonjour.... so don’t take this to the bank. It my understanding they rate the reel for IPT at nearly full spool. so you only really get advertised IPT for the last few turns. Like I said this is that I was told..... don’t even remember who told me. Hmmm....

Must have been a production problem if they are sending a new one.

I have a carbonlite 6’6” medium with the carbonlite bait caster, love it. I use it for everything, it has become my primary rig. Think about getting the spinning rig combo.

Boat prices here in Fl are crazy high right now, don’t know about where your at. Everything seems to be way over priced.

Please keep us updated with lots of pics. I’m almost finished with mine.... wife got it for me as Xmas present. It was a basket case with everything piled inside the hull, but it’s all aluminum. I just had to fit the pieces back in, I’m ready to put the non-skid paint on as soon as weather permits. But I’ve never seen what your going to do , so please lots of pics.

My boat has the u-bolts thru the transom for trailering, I use the green landscaping tree stakes from Lowe’s or Home Depot. So basically the same thing your talking about.

My Dad was born in 1937.... he was my fishing buddy. When I saw a bait or lure I wanted to try I bought two. One for him and one for me, he did the same. I didn’t fish for a few years after he died in 2013. But your right get the information now.

You might as well make a spot for all her fishing gear, she’s hooked. Not a bad thing to be hooked on though, we all are.

Never been kayaking during mating season, but been in small Jon boats.... seen some aggressive behavior, but heed that as your warning. Never attacked the boat or anything, if you are going to go out during the season. Stay in the middle of channel or as far as you can fish, casting towards the bank. So you don’t end up between a mom and her mound. I try not to get too close, give them a wide berth, you don’t want a bull to think your going to challenge him. It’s pretty unnerving seeing one swim under your boat and it’s longer than the Jon boat your in, or have one come up about 10ft away and make the water dance on his back and bellow. The trolling motor didn’t have enough speeds on it..

I use I use a cd case like this one, put the part you tie to in first. I try to let them dry first.

In the winter, sunny days, shallower waters on the edge of shadows. Summer overcast, seem to move more away from cover. Plus for my sake..... it so hot here.
