  1. I got ya, I thought it had a fish grabber as a handle just turn it around…. Hey, we might be on to something!!!!
  2. What kind of net do you have that has a grabber too….. I like when I can get something that does multiple uses.

  4. Welcome from Fl
  5. I fished out of a pontoon boat for a while, lots of room. the one I had wasn’t fast but I had a lot of fun. Friends went with me even if they didn’t fish, it had alive well and trolling motor too. It was a 24 ft, it could hold 12 people… I never took that many fishing. The wife and her friends came sometimes and would just work on their tans.. put a little grill on it and cooked out too. pontoon boats aren’t for everyone but might be something to check out.
  6. Welcome from fl
  7. Glad you’re here…. This is a great site, I have learned a lot here. I have the same combo… Bass Pro carbonlite bait caster. I really like it.
  8. Welcome, I’ve sure learned a lot from here.
  9. Great pics….looks like a great place
  10. Great article, thanks for sharing.
  11. I use mono for everything, except my pitching set up, I use braid on it. I use floro for my leaders. I know it’s a personal thing, but I can’t stand the noise braid makes when casting.
  12. I got one from Bass Pro around Xmas..

I’ve use their jigs, and hook heads. They work good for me and I love the price. The eye where you tie to have to be cleaned sometimes but other than that. I like them.
  14. Have you seen the the prices on Amazon or EBay? Crazy!!!!
  15. Wow!! I have never had anyone approach me about a vacation thing in a BPS store…… I go to the one in Daytona Fl. I have a Bass Pro credit card and I get cash back. I just purchased a auto inflatable on my cash back. I do buy the bass pro baits, plastic and hard lures if I can’t find it any where else, and I’ve had good luck with their rod and reel combos. I ordered a fire pit from them too….. a store pick up thing, got there the box was wasted and tore open. I didn’t want to sign for it said “ I don’t know if all the parts were there” she pulled a razor knife out of her back pocket and said “ let’s find out”. We found the parts lost and went through everything in the box and it was all there. I really have had good experiences with them.
  16. I have a bass pro extreme bait caster, it’s got to be 10yrs old, still going strong. and I have a carbonlite bait caster combo that is my reel I use the most.
  17. Same here, chrome with blue or black back
  18. I hadn’t thought about a trolling motor prop and pins… but if you messed up your trolling prop early in the morning, the rest of you day might be a little rougher fishing. OK I’ll find a home in the boat for the motor prop, now I’ll find a trolling prop and accessories needed for on the water repairs…… Man, my little boat getting smaller and smaller.
  19. Wow! Never heard of the senko adage. Make sense though, I will definitely will try it. love this site learn something all the time.
  20. Nice catch.... what did you catch it on, and color?
  21. I keep a top water rig set up and a popper on it all the time. I usually start out Texas rigged worm or creature and when I see or hear them hitting the top , I’ll try and work the spot I was seeing the action. Don’t know if that’s the right way to work the shore line but it seems to work for me.
  22. I imagine it’s hard to find that person you get along well enough to fish all the time with. That doesn’t make you want to commit a felony or a least leave them in your wake floating with their PDF. My Dad and I used to fish all the time together. Wether it was wading for smallies , kayaking for bass or surf fishing. When I bought a new bait, I got two.... one for him and he did the same. So now I fish alone
  23. I just got a “new to me bass boat” it’ a small 15 ft and I got an inflatable vest and wear the kill switch lanyard. I fish mostly by myself. I figure it can’t hurt.
  24. Hi everyone, I was wondering how many carry an extra prop in case you need it...... hit bottom, stump, or spun a hub. One came with my boat, but I can’t seem to find a home for it anywhere in the boat. I’ve got a small boat (15ft), so room is limited, but I know I will jinx myself if I take it out of the boat. Thought I’d ask and see how many carry an extra on with them. thanks G
