  1. I tried to bring this point up with the Admin about 4yrs ago.. no such luck.. I agree with you.. Our Maryland thread is YEARS old.. not suppose to work like that and it makes it very hard to keep up.. Just go with the flow and start a new thread.. It is what it is..
  2. Haha... I've done the same many times.. BH - it's getting to the stage where the jig bite is coming on strong.. from the bank, long cast and drag the bottom. Bites are hard to feel so keep close attention. C-rigs as well.
  3. Might be a few days late but.. Never been here and want to someday. Friend of mine does fish here. His big warning to me was watch out for the rattlers. They are all around this place. Allen did you ever make it?
  4. Yes, I see that marker on the Nav maps. I figured I would add yours until ruled out and since you struck something not on the orig marker.
  5. BrianMD forwarded the story to a few of us. I am not familar with this rock/shoal but I did update Navionics with this potential rock pile. Hope your back up soon. If anyone can confirm the waypoint, I'd be glad to update Navionic Maps - Community Layer.
  6. Right next to the throttle is a black lever control. It's for the livewell. Flow-rite makes all the parts for the lever, cable and valves. It's in either " empty or automatic".
  7. I am the second owner 2001 Tracker TX 175 and fixing up some small stuff, I noticed the flow-rite valve control was stuck in Auto. Went to have my boat guy replace the switch while he did some small items. I was going to do it but said, what the heck, fix that too. Called today and said the cable doesn't move. I did a search and it appears this is a big time Tracker issue. Has anyone replaced the cable? My boat guy said he thinks the gas tank needs to be removed and it will not be cheap. Anyone go thru this issue? Could it be the valve stuck more than the cable froze? Thanks Peter
  8. Planning on fishing 2nd week of August. Staying at Rivers Rest. Looking for some insight on maybe so locations / tackle. Looking forward to the river and any advice. Thanks Peter
  9. Did you run into all the FLW tourney guys? I bet they were holding spots or plenty boats in the good bite areas
  10. Thanks.. that looks like a great product.. seems to claim they are different than minn kota and trollbridge for heat reasons. Anyone using one?
  11. OK, thanks... I guess I need to look into it more.. What minn kota DC chargers that work off the alternator.. Anyone use these? MK 2 DC (2 bank) With a low-profile enclosure and a waterproof, corrosion-resistant design, our DC Alternator Chargers use current from your boat’s alternator to re-charge trolling batteries when the main engine is running. Master cutoff switch turns charging off while the engine isn’t in use. Experience effortless, accurate charging with up to 20 amps of total output. 2 charging banks 10 amps per bank 20 amps total output
  12. So is anyone using something like this? http://www.yandina.com/troll24info.htm Minn Kota makes a something like this? My cousin boat has a switch like this and hasn't had an issue. Just looking for opinions on people using something like this product or another one brand. Good/Bag and Ugly info wanted. Thanks Peter
  13. PM sent, I really appreciate this!
  14. Memphremagog for some reasons scares the crap out of me. Everytime we got to newport for something, the water is very rough.. I assume there are some good coves/bays not far from launch? Also, what happens when you cross into Canada via boat? is it mark with a bouy on the lake?
  15. Thanks Ken, I do feel lucy about her liking fishing. Especially when she catches a "whale" (in her words)... I think it might be time to upgrade her rod/reel. She is past the "push button", now uses trigger with closed bail reel case. But her rod is a not all that great for a 2lb bass.
  16. I'm heading to Champlain this summer in August for a week. Fishing near Charlotte area.. got any tips, do's/don'ts or where to get good info? I grew up in VT but always flyfished. Never fished the big lake but hear so much about it. I do fish Lake Salem over by Newport. It's clear as can be, we fish jerk baits and soft plastics (jigs/creatures/sencos). All light in colors.
  17. FB has some real good info on BH. My daughter caught all her bass on 1" greenie/white worm with a curly tail, 1/8oz jig head and bobber. I set the depth to about 3' and she was nailing them. 2lb and a 2.5lb bass along with smaller fish. Me, I was using plastics all too big and didn't catch half the fish. I should have adjusted and used a finese worm or something smaller.
  18. Wow, that makes 3 of us fishing BH today. We fished late, from 1130 til 330pm today. My daugter did well getting about 4 fish. Lot's of boats out there today, I had a Bass Tracker with black lettering. She got this nice 2.5lb on her own, 1" worm, bobber and red hook jig. It was nice to see her "struggle" bringing this in, the expressions were priceless. Normally she doesn't mind holding fish but this one "scared" her. Another fish for her: I ended up with 2 bass, under 3lbs and some good hits. But I had to manage the Royal Carribean Cruise because ever hour there is a seating for lunch with my daughter, then the activities outside of fishing. But hey, wouldn't miss it for the world.
  19. Hi, Boat is back, finally have some time Sunday to head out for a 1/2 day. I'll be at BH in the morning. Taking my daughter so let's see how that goes, time wise. Thanks for those Frederick Info/Reports. I'm going to try them! Not far from my house. Fat Boy - send me email, we need to get out in May for a trip! -Peter
  20. Wow, I thought you said 4.6 + Did you get a photo? I know ESPN was doing the winner interviews, so I hope you had time to sneak in a photo of your own.
  21. Congrats to BrianMD for getting the big lunker/winning the Team Tournament yesterday at our club. Brian reeled in 4.?oz lunker. It was my 1st tournament in a very long time. We caught fish but others did better. Best was to hang out with the Club's VP and his very nice Ranger Boat. Big difference from my Tracker boat. It doesn't catch fish but sure makes life a bit easier.. Friday - spent time on the Potomac from Gravely up to Fletchers. Tons of boats trying to catch the shad run. Had some luck that day but got a wicked sun burn too, Saturday - tourn day - we hit fish early but no keepers, later on was better. We tried to target some big fish but no luck. But not a bad start for March! Good job Brian - not sure he got a photo
  22. Hey, at least you two made it out. I'm still looking for my gear. I think my wife put it up on craigslist last fall.
  23. So Sean, how many fish did you catch yesterday? Got photos?
  24. Ahhh,, good morning everyone..... did someone say fishing season is opening up... Man, that was a nice winter nap! Hope everyone is doing well
