  2. Any reports from the Cabin Creek show today. Was it worth it?
  3. I have to work on Saturday. Does anyone know if it's worth it to go on Sunday. Seems like the "final day" of a show/flea market can be a waste of time? 4. Cabin Creek and the one in Sykesville/Westminster still on I think.. If some one has info on shows. Post them! I posted Cabin Creek, Boonesboro MD - weekend of Jan21st/22nd.
  5. Kevin, that is one sweet way to break in the New Year (or end 2011). Wow! Amazing how one fish can wiped out hours of not catching a twig! Looking forward to some outings with you! Peter

Cabin Creek Bassmasters 9th Annual Sportsman Flea Market Featuring: TACKLE VENDERS, BOAT DEALERS AND GUIDE SERVICES Time: Saturday January 21, 2012 9:00AM till 4:00PM Sunday January 22, 2012 9:00AM till 2:00PM Where: Washington County Agriculture Education Center 7313 Sharpsburg Pike, Boonsboro, MD 21713
  7. You had me at Hello.... I'm in!
  8. Logan, my app is in the mail.. I got it from BrianMD.. Brian, can I have fishing poles back, I swear I sent it in....
  9. OK, fishing is slow I guess. Something to make you laugh Btw - I normally don't post/email these but this is pretty darn funny!
  10. where did you put in at? I want to hit the Upper Potomac once before I winterize my boat! Thinking big slackwater? Never put in up there but got some good info from Munkin here on the boards. And I was going to comment on the photo because I knew that wasn't your boat! Brings up a good point about batteries. I never really kept them on charge all winter with my other boats. But I never used them like I did with this 24v trolling motor. Was thinking about one of those solar top off chargers? But for 3 batteries, need to figure out best solution. Maybe a solar unit to hook up to my onboard chargers? Oh, I don't have power where my boat is stored. Brian - I am working that 1st FOBA meeting in Nov., was going to shoot for the DEC. if it held then?
  11. I was there... I met up Kevin/Howard on the water for a greeting and some tips. We got a few bites but nothing landed. Not sure why so picky today? I had a few good hits that felt like a bass. My daughter got some hits on her jig but nothing in the boat. It was good to get her on the water, she really loves the boat. It was more like Carnival Cruise lines because she ate/drank the entire time. OH!!! we had to go back into the docks for a "potty break", from the opposite side of the lake.. Saw Nick from shore on our potty break trip. Needless to say I wasn't in the best of mood, sorry! On the way back in, she wanted to try and use the trolling motor to steer the boat in. I thought it was ok because we were just going straight. Needless to say she step on the peddle heavy, rotated the motor head 360 and ripped out 3 bolts on the motor mounts. We limped in with the motor on the side. I tried my best not to scream because she would never come out. I knew it was fixable. So I waited till I came home for a nice cold beer. No Fish Broken Motor But still a great day out with my daughter!
  12. Nick, I'll be there but it is a daddy/daughter day... that could last a few hours or a few minutes depending on the mood. She was pretty upset at not going last weekend.. So she waited all week to go sunday. We can hook up another day. -Peter
  13. I thought it was Nick.. Chris you got me on that one. Yep, Im up in Frederick... first time on that boat too! If you look in the MD who's thread, I had another boat destroyed by a tornado. Got this one in August but didn't have a spare moment to go out.. I am testing out the batteries. Fact, I am going to install a battery gauge on the trolling motors. I hate the "I wonder if"... Im heading out Sunday again. My daughter (8yrs) was pretty upset she didn't go last weekend. So I'll be putting around for a few hours looking for anything that will bite, for her. Maybe hook up again? Im sure brian wants more boat time too! -Peter
  14. OK, you got me.. I thought it was Nick. then i see mick... I wished we used real names.. I can't keep track of forum names to real names...
  15. Nice meeting everyone... I was following Brian around and of course so as I depart, he/nick hit some fish.. my luck! Need to get more time on this lake.. fish looked like they were hanging out at 20ft or so. Very cloudy water with all the rain. Im told it's usually crystal clear.. Definetly going to spend more time here since it's 20min away. mick, did you get and boat shots of us? maybe post them if so? -Peter
  16. I'm in! Got the boat batteries on charger - x-fingers I may have an extra seat if my 8yr daughter doesn't come. She really wants to go but leaving at 7:30am always throws in the "maybe".... Are we meeting at 9am in a certain spot? Im coming with a Tracker Bass Boat hooked up to a Black Honda Ridgeline. Guarentee that there isn't another clone... Btw- first time putting this boat in at Black Hills.. Anything I need to know? Do? Be careful of? -Peter
  17. Hey All, Just woke up from a 2 month nap of no fishing, boating, etc... big blank! Caught this thread.. So Sunday at 9am? I will do my best to be there..if I do, I will bring my new to me used boat. My 8yr may come? dying to go fishing.. Do we have a food list or just BYO-Everything.. Hope everyone had a good summer.. -Peter
  18. OK, just thought you had to pay before launching..
  19. Nice Sean... tough time of year, conditions and time of day. so a real good catch.. I think I am going to hit Black Hills on Sat. morning with my little one. Will get the boat ready even though I can use the gas motor.. but the 84lbs trolling motor should do ok... What time can I get in at? boat ramp wise?
  20. Sean... what works for you.. I think it wouldn't be the same.. So shoot some dates
  21. I couldn't let us slip to the second page... So anyone fishing? Potomac, Black Hills, etc? Don't forget the meet/greet that is being set up. (another thread) -Peter
  22. Im in for either days. -Peter
  23. Went up to Upper Potomac near Antietam Campground. God knows how I found it after "Fat Boy" giving me good directions. River looked fairly clear,we fished from shore for about an hour. I tried a few different things and my 7yr old did as well. She is a good sport even though she is 1-3 for the year catching fish. Did manage a smallie on a hellgrammite. It was a youngster so not much action. My daughter enjoyed seeing it. Had another but shook my hook under water, didn't set it too well. Need to figure some rigging ways for these soft plastics. Smallies love them! But a nice sunset on river and spending time with my little one! Next trip - get my boat out finally! -Peter
  24. Im in for a meet...
  25. Well, still waiting on DNR for boat stuff. I dropped over to Urbana Lake to scope it out. All in all the pond looks healthy. Not too much in weeds. I did not fish at all. Just a scouting trip. Seems it might be hard to get to some places as the banks are heavy covered. Here are some shots. This is the sign off Dixon Road (get to Dixon from Thurston Rd) Trail head - 700yds to pond Trail size - pine needle type of trail Parking lot Pond looking Left Mid Left Center shot Far Right Didn't see any rises nor fish scared away from shore. I think a fishing Kayak would be perfect if you have one of those wheely things to hand carry it. -Peter
