yea me too. got a small one online for $5.99. It's hard to tell if it's accurate though. I kinda think it reads a few degrees higher than actual temp.

Fished the mouth of my canal; Anchor Bay, Lake St. Clair. Black and blue tube jig and rapala jerkbait. No fish or strikes. Went to Bald Mountain today in Oakland county, same lures, still no fish.

How do you guys store this stuff? It comes in the zip lock that doesnt keep it from stinking once it's opened. My tacklebox, car and boat stink like that stuff after a couple hot days. Do you guys keep reusing the zip lock package it comes in? or do you transfer it to something else. It comes packaged with that liquid i'm afraid if i transfer it they'll dry out.

yea i would say a number of the baits i tie on are 3/8oz or lighter. you think that's a problem? i had no problems with fireline and lighter baits.

I've grown accustomed to having firewire spooled on my Daiwa Fuego baitcasting reel. I switched to 14lb test BPS excel fluorocarbon recently. I spooled it about 1/8th of an inch to the edge of the spool and used the KVD line and lure conditioner. I'm finding that the line isnt very forgiving. anything less than a perfect cast makes the line want to jump off the spool. most of the trouble seems to come when I'm making a shorter cast. trying hit a target or flipping up into cover. If i make a long hard cast with a heavier lure everything is great. i'm forced to tighten my spool tension knob more than i had it with fireline, keeping me from making longer casts with lighter lures. i really like the flourocarbon line, i'm just wondering if i might be doing something wrong or if these problems are normal. i took off about 15 yards of line and it seemed to help a little. also is the size of the line much for my smaller / light baitcasting reel? is brand of line an issue, i've read (on this board) that BPS excel is manufactured by a reputable 3rd party manufacturer (torray? sp?) thank you Michael L

I know that Berkley Gulp! Gobies are proven smallmouth baits when rigged on a drop shot. I fish Lake St. Clair. My question is, what kind of hooks should i rig them with. considering their large bulbous figure they seem too large for a standard size octopus or drop shot hook. what can you guys recommend?

wow. well that's good news. i've been fishing my marina on lake st clair. the fishing would probably be better on a smaller inland lake. kensington is by no means small though.

i've spent the last 3 days fishing my marina on lake st clair. water is kinda brown and i havent caught a single fish yet. had a very big large mouth hit a blue and black jig with a craw trailer. but that's all the action i've seen in about 12 hours of fishing. i'm trying to fish slow but it's so difficult.

i fish on the marsh side near the boat launch in spring before the weeds get too dense. lost a monster pike on a red rattlin' rap last year. broke the knot on my fireline. be careful fishing for bass too early. i went for a walk there yesterday and they have some no bass fishing signs posted. i think the DNR is going to be a little tougher this year

that's a goal of mine this summer also. last year crankbaits. this year jigs! i hope i can do it. i bought a lot of bps jigs at the sale. they are making my tacklebox really heavy....

i got to my bps at 9 exactly. unfortunately they let everyone in at 8:55. i got to bin and all that were left were about 4 pink baits. One of the customers shoved about 40 baits in a basket and took them to the side to sift through. he dumped his leftovers back in the bin and i picked out 8 nice baits. The manager decided to substitute the bps lazer eye spinnerbaits for the same price as the T-2. i picked up a few of those even though they weren't titanium. The skirts on the BPS brand are nicer though.

i do a lot of shore fishing, and i'm finding myself in the same position as the thread starter and a few other people in replies. i'm totally at capacity of my browning 360 tackle box. but that doesnt stop me from buying more. i just keep reorganizing and making room. it's getting very heavy though. i blame *** for at least 4lbs. and the 20 terminator t-2 baits i just came home with from bps 10 min ago didnt help.

yea i saw this advertisement in an older issue of rolling stone. i did some research and found out the glasses weren't really worth the MSRP.

i went on friday night for the prefered customer event and the start of the fishing sale. i bought some fireline, enticer footall jigs, some ewg offset hooks, those strike king finesse worms that are stretchy, and a 7' bps extreme spinnning rod which i'll save for a fathers day gift. i'm going to get a spinning pflueger president next weekend to match the rod when they do the reel trade in. i wish they sold fat ikas.

I love my fuego. it's so light, but still has a really solid feel.

do you consider fireline braid? i love the stuff because of it's strength. i like buying expensive cranks, but hate losing them!

MICHBASS i believe you are mistaken. it's 5 for $10 on Terminator T-2 Titanium Spinnerbaits. that's an amazing deal! but yea you're right about our pro's here at the auburn hills, MI store. I'll go anyway. There's a few things i'll pick up.

I purchased one last week and it just got it today. looks high quality for sure. i really skirt and bait head/hook. I can't wait to fish it.

last season some one would post a some great online coupons for DSG in this forum. I hope they can find and post them again this season. i really cleaned up with those.
