I have a 40hp Merc that needs a new prop.. mine has a decent size chip taken outta it... what do i need to do to replace it? I have no experience fixing boats or motors... Not even sure what year the motor is.. my boat is a 1990.. any clue where I can find the year of the motor? or does it matter? Also, how much would a prop cost? I get about 29 mph out of my boat now.. will it increase the speed?

It will get better! just not this weekend because its gonna be COLD! come on dude!! haha..all i want is one good bite.. just to get some points.. hopefully if i struggle, so does everyone else.. im sure there will be guys that figure something out though

i hit up Sayers on saturday and got skunked.. not even a bite.. I hope it gets better for this saturday... somebody please assure me it will!!

i'll have to stop in tomorrow and see if my local Dicks has these on sale.. Last time i went, they were on sale for 12... another local tackle shop has them on sale for 11..

Here is my first bass boat... I bought it 3 years ago.. i had a pretty good summer job in between my junior and senior year of undergrad (pennDOT).. It is a 1990 Procraft Stalker 150... 40hp merc motor.. tops out at about 29mph.. not real fast but good enough for now.. i wish it had more storage on it but for a 15ft boat I can't complain.. Oh yeah.. and I paid $2,000 for it..

seems like you got way too much braid on there.. i usually go halfway with mono and the rest with braid.. I have 30# PP on mine and have no problems

Where are you located in PA? I live near state college and go to grad school at Slippery Rock.. For 100 dollars that is going to be tough.. Check out dicks.. you can probably find a nice baitcasting combo there for around 100 dollars..
