  1. Thanks for all the input guys. I understand where you are all coming from with the preference. I guess I really just wanted someone to talk me into buying one. ;D I am not a boater and I do not like carrying 7 rods with me when i go out fishing. I guess I'll have to try one out and use it when the time is right. I would really like to pick up a cheap setup incase I hate it then I wont feel bad. But then I feel like if I hate it, it's because I bought a cheap setup. I'll keep an eye out for a decent used setup maybe.
  2. Def not glamorous but a very good way to show the fishs true size. Good looking fish btw! well some people would hold that fish out and say it was 7 lbs lol. haha. I've seen it done ;D
  3. Good job man! That is a very nice looking fish. Dont think you cant beat it cause there is probably bigger in there you have yet to catch. Maybe I should come out there and fish with you sometime, that spot looks sweet.

  5. Nice fish! I am not sure if you can resize with photobucket. I haven't used it in awhile.
  6. What a butthole. He is probably going to be looking for you when he gets out!
  7. what kind of lures?
  8. Great info! If only I had a boat ;D
  9. I have been using spinning reels my whole life. I have never had a problem with them. I use every and all lures on them. I have never used a baitcaster before and honestly I never thought about getting one. For some reason I have the urge to try one out and possibly buy one. My question is - Am I missing out already by not having one? Is the any significant difference between the two (spin, cast)? I hear they cast further...that would be nice. Everyone seems to love them...what am I missing out on? Any insight would be great!
  10. Nice fish! At first I didn't realize you were blocking out the baits... I just thought there was a finger print on the lens... But after I saw it the second time I though "oooh secret bait".
  11. i always thumb them unless it is real small then i just thumb and index pinch the outside of the gills, then remove hook and throw back...that method usually take about 5 sec from start to finish.
  12. Well I said on the first page that I was done for the year but this week has been so nice that I had to get out there. Caught a bunch everyday! I'll keep going till my fingers fall off I guess.
  13. I went today and got nothing. I couldn't feel my hands by the time i was done. I think I'm done for the year.
  14. that is strange. Looks like it ran head first into wall ;D
  15. 4:26 was pretty awesome. Plus the buck shots were cool too.
  16. The ***... $6 for 25! wow that is a fantastic deal! they look almost identical to the senko too. If I end up having good luck with the ones I have I will be picking some of those up for sure.
  17. They are a bit pricey. I got the watermelon color hooked with a 4/0 gam. I am huge line watcher...it is how i get most of my fish I have fished tons of different worms and caught tons of bass on them but the nice slow fall of the senko might be key to getting a few more fish than usual. we will have to see. Thanks for the tips.
  18. I noticed the slow fall...extremely great feature. Hopefully I can snag a few fish tomorrow on them!
  19. bahahaha that is pretty funny. I always wonder who sits down and actually works to make thingy shaped stuff...they have to laugh.
  20. Highlight the text...alot easier to read that way.
  21. I finally gave in. I always hear so much about these worms but I never used them. I have heard tons of mixed reviews...some good some bad. Either way I decided to throw one for awhile today...I didn't catch anything but I only got to fish for about an hour and a half plus I am on a serious loosing streak. Man that thing flys weightless. I have never used a worm that casts so far. I dont think I can even cast out a weighted t rigged worm that far. So far I like them but thats not saying much cause i haven't caught anything on one yet! ;D I also got some yamamoto tubes that I have yet to try. Thought I'd share.
  22. still not catching anything!! I find myself getting frusterated and doing everything faster. When I notice I get back to normal speed for what i'm fishing. As time consuming as it was I even threw some spinner baits with no luck. Any other tips?
  23. that's pretty cool! I would concider doing it if I were in the same situation. It tried to get in his boat so he had to tame the beast. I would not go out looking for a rattler though! The best part is that he let the snake go when he was done. It was probably still alive.
