  1. I keep records with Catch Notes on my phone (it's not meant for fish... it's just a coincidence that they call it Catch Notes haha). For fish, I log length, lure, presentation, any cover/structure that really sticks out, current (if I'm on the river) and any baitfish or craws I see in the area (if there's a bunch of them). For trips, I log weather (todays and yesterdays), number of fish caught, temps, and water clarity. The good thing about using Catch Notes is when you take a photo to attach to the note, it keeps the GPS data attached (which the phone does by default anyway).

  4. I have yet to play a fishing game where the fish actually adapt to conditions like they do in real life (or even act half like they should). In just about every fishing game you can find that 1 lure that works anytime, anywhere, and just catch like crazy. I see why they do this though, they don't want to target just the hardcore anglers, they are trying to make it easy for ANYONE to play. They need to make a game that has the best of both worlds. Oh, and don't even try Kevin Van Dam's fishing game... It is an absolute pile of crap! He should get his name off that game ASAP
  5. Good stuff guys, thanks for the info. Going to try a few different methods for weighting. I have a ton of old lead, so I may as well experiment with that first. May end up buying tungsten shot though, may designs are thin
  6. Dave, Do you get any 'flare' up's from any moisture left in the wood (when pouring the lead) or is it usually dry enough to take the lead without causing an explosion haha.
  7. Those are great processors. Im an AMD man myself, but Intel has really been making some innovative stuff. Should be a good processor for games, but the graphics card (or onboard graphics, depending on the laptop) is going to be your main concern for games.
  8. It took the CNC roughly 20 to 30 minutes to cut 1 side. I havent finished a side on the router replicator though, so I dont know if I can do it faster. The cnc was cutting with a 1/16 inch bit and im using a 3/32 inch bit, so I should be able to cut it quicker, but we will see. Should have some cut by next week (need to make a stylus for my new bits).
  9. The only idea I ever came up with for a reel 'enhancement' was to put a tiny clamp inside the reel to put your line through (so you don't have to tie to the reel). But that's a dumb idea, I just use electrical tape now
  10. Thanks BobP! I'll look into that. Nine - I got my router, well I got a dremel for now haha. It works awesome. I was just messing around with it for now, but I should have some cut by next week. I have to go make a custom stylus for my 3/32 inch ball head bit. I was cutting with an 1/8 inch flat bit, but it makes the baits too... I dont know... chunky? so I had to get the ball head. Just hoping the Airbrush is under the tree
  11. I don't think In Fisherman is on WFN at all. I used to watch it, but it got old after awhile (same shows all week long). There are awesome shows on there don't get me wrong, but on DISH you have to pay $10 a month for it and I didn't really think it was worth it. Facts of Fishing, Getting Schooled, The New Fly Fisher and Jarret Edwards Outdoors are all I really miss. Thanks to Mike D for keeping Lunkerville online so I don't miss it
  12. Now that's just crazy! $95 and you got a deal!
  13. Pens... I wish the Caps could get one though... I hate not getting Vs. or any of those channels. I dont get to watch live hockey until after mid season! Stupid NBC, show more games!
  14. I just ordered the sample online. I want that piece of foam LOL That's awesome haha They are pretty cool. Id love to have a full mattress but I'm not paying that much for one. I had about 12 pieces before I gave up. I wish I could remember where they were, they'd make a good pad for a boat seat lol
  15. Interior design a hobby of yours? :-* Only when your wife has me over... BAM!
  16. Big money in trim and interior decor.... I guess you need a lathe for some of that though.
  17. I slept in one on a trip once (it was in a hotel) very nice! Kind of off topic, but I am on a mission to get enough people to call temper-pedic and request a free sample (its a 3x3 square of the mattress) and I'm going to put them all in a big sack and make my own mattress It's not going to work out though... HA
  18. Get some PVC board and use that, then you don't need to worry about the grain
  19. Find current breaks and the deepest water you can. Current is like wind, it only makes then colder and they stay out of it when it's cold. can't believe no one mentioned tubes yet! Keep your colors dull. Fish tend to lose their color the colder it gets, so make your lures do the same.
  20. I'm with Speed on this one! Although, April is a good month for fishing here... Heck, any month is a good month for fishing
  21. Ah... Low blow! But they deserve it... That was absolutely terrible last night! Tired defense my butt - that was the entire teams fault. I don't know what's happening with the Ravens, but they are falling apart in the 4th quarter...
  22. Geez I saw Hey Bear's fans... and then SpeedBead's name beside it... I thought this was going to be a Hershey Bear's thread! Anyway, that game was terrible... laughable even! I hate the Pat's with a passion, but I have respect for them, as they are a pretty darn good team. Oh, and Go Ravens!
  23. That is the most cheesy 80's song on the face of the planet... But man, does it fit that movie (I'm a youngin' and I knew what that was). Anyway, Mighty Duck's 2... We are the Champions by Queen LOL
  24. If you upgraded you have 30 days to return it and get something else. Take it back so you can get the other phone for free. Last month I used 8 Gigs of data my record is 14 gigs but I was streaming alot of video that month. it adds up quick!
  25. Google goggles was no help... It only came up with similar images that weren't child appropriate...
