  1. Favorites: jigs, texas, and A frame spinner baits. Least favorite: drop shot. It reminds me of junk fishing, but I'll do what it takes to win.
  2. You got it master bait'r, control is the key.
  3. For me to attack heavy vegetation I would need to know how much open space there is under the cover. Then I would pattern the top or bottom.
  4. Back in the early 80's I read about this rig and I believe they called it the original wacky rig.
  5. I was told that the trd and the zinker will float when the salt dissolves out of the plastic.
  6. Flick shake worm doing it for me, for the last three years.
  7. Yes, anything plastic swimming across the top will catch them for sure. lizards, frog , worms, or creature baits can be fished this way.
  8. There is one lure that demands the use of a bait cast reel, that would be the spinner bait.
  9. I will start with the wacky due to its catch ability, then go to the T rig when the wacky starts to fail. No weight on either rig, I prefer the Trig when it prevails because of its cast ability. I also like the MOJO rig when I'm done with the other two rigs.
  10. I wish rapala would get on the ball and do a better job on their old age finish patterns . But if you like the action of wiggle warts, and don't want to pay the price, these are a bargain.
  11. If frogging in open water is a confidence problem. When frogging season is about, I will through the frog on the bank and hop it off. I will do this fishing from a boat or the bank.
  12. I would recommend the VMC long shank worm hook, it has a barb on the shank and are very well priced. I use them with the jika rig.
  13. I appreciate the posts on this subject, we fished it Monday and found more numbers in on stump flats. Smaller fish though, did break off a couple on deeper break lines. Going to remember that summer episode with high water temps. Looks like a good heavy run off pattern.
  14. Yea thanks for the info, I take it you live on water front. We have been catching good fish on the break lines and a few small in shallow. They are fat, but not sure how to pattern the pre- spawn, sense the water temps. are already in spawning range.
  15. Just started fishing the hot side of a power plant lake, water temperature range 58 to 65. How do you guy's approach the spring time pre-spawn and spawn patterns.
  16. Randy Howell won the 2014 bass masters classic on the last day using DT rapala crank and only went to the Livingston crank because he felt the fish were deeper than the DT would go. Wa-la a million dollar lure was born.
  17. Culprit ribbon tail worms have stood the test of time. The best ribbon tail worm I've ever used, and still do.
  18. Z-Man Turbo craw-z
  19. I thought the chevy Colorado is a 5 cylinder truck.
  20. Wilderness ride 115 advance. feelfree lure 11.5 or 10.
  21. I own a canoe, and looking @ 10 foot kayaks. If you are a largemouth angler, a jon boat set up your way, is the ticket for the control you need, for all the technics we love in bass fishing.
  22. If you are looking for large kayaks, look no further than the old town discovery sport 15.3 square back . This canoe can be easily tricked out with raised swivel seats/ standard 30 ft. lb. electric motor/ rope pulley anchor system depth finder with suction cup trans., all for less than 2,000.00. Don't need a trailer either, toe it in the back of your pick up.
  23. I would wait till you can afford a 500.00 + kayak, I believe the patience will be a virtue. Check out the feelfree Lure 10.
