Another thing that I believe can be a factor is the color of the crankbait. If I am using a red crankbait, I want to have both hooks red.

We have 22'' of snow in the back yard. We have a Brittney Spaniel that can't run through the backyard. It is hilarious to watch her hopping around to keep moving through the snow. Don't know if many of you all have tried walking in that much snow before, but it isn't as easy as it would seen to be.

Something tells me the world record won't be broke this year. That was a huge bass cought in Japan. I personally don't like the fact that the world record bass was cought on live bait. Seems like an unfair advantage to me. Anyway, the bigest bass of the year will be cought on lake Amestad in Texas on a huge plastic worm, or something like that.

Just measured the snow on the the front yard. We have just over 7'' already! Its snowin harder now than it has all evening. I think that this 20'' forecast may become reality by tomorrow evening.

Here in the valley it started snowing at about 4:00. Grass is still visible, but I have a feeling it won't be for long. Calling for 12-20'' is what I heard. I like the snow, but not 20'' of snow. Just hope we get some on Thursday night.

I agree 100%. I always catch more fish on a jig that has a rattle than one that doesn't. But most importantly, I have more faith in throwing one with a rattle.

Let me just start throwing out some names real quick. What do Chris Cooley, Chris Samuels, Randy Thomas, Clinton Portis, Ladell Betts, Chris Horton, Jeremy Jarmon, and a couple other players on the Redskins have in common? They are all on the IR. Not to mention the fact that we are on our 5th right guard of the season and 3rd LT of the year. Oh yeah, an unhealthy Albert Haynesworth and DeAngilo Hall are also on the long list of hurt redskins. Also, I heard earlier in the week that the pro bowl NFC Full Back, Mike Sellers wont be able to play this weekend. And you wonder why the Redskins have struggled?

My personal opinion is Herschel Walker. I wish that I could have the pleasure to watch him in his prime.

I've used one a few times. Cought a huge pike and a largemouth that weighed about 4lbs. When you use this lure, you are going for the homerun. You aren't going to get many strikes. Swims great.

In the middle of the day, I tie on a wave worm wieghtless style. I try to find any shade possible. Downed trees, stumps, docks, ect. Let it sink slowly and watch your line for movement. I probly catch as many fish between 11 and 3 as I do in the morning and evening.

Um... there are now 10-1 in the Big Ten ACC challenge. Doesn't sound like a team who "sucks" against the big ten

I remember watching Skeet Reese catch like 14 fish on 15 casts, or something close to that, in a major tourney this past season. Therefore, I don't think it bothers them at all.

how did you become a college fisher?

Just recently, discovered that there are national bass fishing competitions in college. I am currently a senior in high school and would love to be able to fish competitively in college. I was wondering if anyone could give me and others any helpful information on this topic.

I also agree that the Rapala Clackin' Rap isn't the best lipless crankbait to throw. I am a much bigger fan of the Rattle Traps. They are the loudest lures I have ever thrown and the fish hammer them. But I do have to say I am a true believer in the sureset hooks.
