  1. I use Eagle Claw Lazer Sharp worm hooks. Very affordable, durable, and extremely sharp
  2. Learning how to truly bass fish at the beginning of the decade. (catching fish using something other than live bait)The later part of the decade is when I started to learn how to fish plastic worms and my absolute go to bait, Wave worms rigged weightless. Just this past year, I started to fish jigs. I haven't got it down completely yet, but hope to improve a lot this year. Next thing to learn is how to fish lizards.
  3. What do you look for specifically when you are throwing a lizard? Is there one type of structure better than another, or a depth that works the best?
  4. Enter in a few tournaments, learn how to fish a lizard, learn how to fish a tube, and most importantly spend more time on the water.
  5. I bought a box of the soft baits that they were using on this episode. They look like great baits, plus they are environmentally safe, and made in the USA. I think it is a great buy.

I have never tried lizard fishing. I just bought a set of baits that includes 8 six inch lizards in watermelon red. How do you rig them, when do you use them, ect. I am completely clueless on this subject so please help me out. Here is the link to the lures if anyone is interested. http://www.lunkerville.com/submitvideo.html
  7. http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1260929549 Here is another great forum to go through to see lures that many people like. Hope these forums help you a lot. Good luck!
  8. Great TV show. You can learn more watching this show than you can by watching many others on TV.
  9. I went to a local outdoor store, well more like a camping supply store, and they had a bunch of Native sunglasses in a display. I tried a few pairs on and loved them. They made my Oakley's look like a middle of the pack pair of sunglasses. LOVE THEM!!! Never mind what I said about just getting Oakley replacement lenses. Hard and cloth carrying case, extra pair of lenses, strap, amazing lenses, great buy at $125. O yeah, I almost forgot about the LIFE TIME WARRANTY.
  10. 11. Thats definitely one of the top 5 quotes posted on this site that I have read.
  12. What is the best Christmas movie? I firmly believe that it is "A Christmas story." If you haven't seen this movie, it is on from 8pm Christmas eve, until 8pm Christmas night on TBS.
  13. I carry 2 or 3 rods and a backpack with all of my lures in it. A Wave Worm tiki stick is always on one of them.
  14. Just don't go to a Cabelas or a BPS whatever you do.
  15. Well, I already have a pair of Oakley half jackets so I will probably just end up getting a set of polarized lenses for them. That was the direction I was leaning in, and thats what I will probably end up getting. Thanks everyone for your information and opinions.
  16. Yes, and when you have a buddy that tells you that he knows of a great place to fish and that you "can" fish it, make sure he knows what he is talking about. > Also, if you have to cross an electric fence with cows in the field to get to the pond, chances are to shouldn't be there. Not that I speak from experience or anything.
  17. Merry Christmas to everyone, and have a safe and happy New Year.
  18. Rock quarry in Craigsville VA. I know someone who as fished it before with the owner. He caught two bass that weighed over 8 lbs and countless others. Ive seen the picture of the huge bass, or I wouldn't have believed it .
  19. I have always used barbed hooks. I tried to go without them one time and had about a 6 pounder spit out the hook at me after a short 10 second or so fight. Haven't been able to try barbless since that day.
  20. Who makes the best, or your favorite polarized sunglasses. I had a pair of the Bill Dance edition Strike King glasses, but they broke and I need to replace them. I thought it would be a good idea to ask around about them before going out and buying a new pair.
  21. Last time I checked, the Cowboys still haven't won a playoff game in 14 yrs. So I would say that Jan hasn't been to kind for "America's Team" for quite some time.
  22. My dad taught me how to trout fish. Trout fished for years before I knew what a bass was. We would occasionally bass fish in a small pond below our hunting camp in Highland County. Years later, my cousin taught me how to bass fish and showed me many great places to to go and catch them. Now, my dad and I have gotten more into bass fishing than trout fishing. But my dad is the one who got me into fishing to begin with and taught me all the basics.
  23. Last time I checked, we were talking about the Cowboys and also the last time I checked, it was December which equals Saints win.
  24. If you really love Rapala lures, you must absolutely must buy a skitter walk. THE best top water lure on the market in my opinion. Buy one or two or ten, you won't be disappointed. Anyway, my go to bait is a Wave Worm Tiki Stick. Rig it weightless and throw it right on top of the structure you want to fish. I use a size 2/0 hook.
