How bad has your cabin fever gotten?
I go to school in NH and there has been little to no snow but its been cold and windy for what seems like forever and even when it seems like its nice out I look at the ponds and theyre iced over pretty thick. I cant watch Bill Dance, Roland or Hank Parker anymore and I need to fish!!!

what's best to cast w/baitcaster?
I am a little new to the whole bass scene as well and I found a lot of good info here and elsewhere but somethings you just have to try out for yourself. Just try using the baits you used with your spinning outfit on your baitcaster and by trial and error you'll figure it out. Also with the right knowledge you should be able to narrow down what is used on which setup but in the fishing world there is always room for flexibility and creativeness.

Ande Back Country Mono
What does everyone think of this line? I heard that it is very abrasion resistant and does not have a lot of memory. I wanted to spool up with this. What do you think?

IN NEED OF PLASTICS UPDATE!
just go to any store that sells baits that you often use and get some that you like and maybe a few you havent seen. Rage tail, zoom swimmin super fluke, etc. just experiment and you'll find what you like and what catches fish.

Mixing soft baits
I had some culprit 5 inch ribbontail worms that got mixed with some zoom lizards and they created some watermelon seed/red cherryseed color worms so it didnt end too badly but I also like to keep my plastics in their original bags. Maybe use seperate sandwich bags to sautee them and them put them back in the original bags

What are you going to try in the new year?
Spinnerbaits, Jigs, C-rigs, and I wanted to nail down flippin and pitchin. How long it will take me to learn how to use them is another story ;D

Pitching Rod for under $100
well its not so much that I want to pitch heavy baits like jigs but things like worms and lighter baits and I wanted a softer tip to cast further. Also if I could use that rod for treble hooked baits as well that would be nice. I have a MH rod already but the tip is stiff and it doesnt pitch lighter baits very far. I think a softer tip would be able to load easier which would increase my pitching distance and if I wanted to use treble hooked lures would give a bass the time to take a lure in without me ripping it out of his mouth.

Pitching Rod for under $100
I'm looking for a rod that has some back bone to it but not too much because I want throw cranks and other treble hooked lures also. I'm thinking of a MH 6'6"-7' casting rod with a moderately fast tip. Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

Spinnerbait vs. Crankbait
Thanks for all the input guys! I'll definitely use your tips when I get a chance to fish and since I'm in New Hampshire that will be never!

Spinnerbait vs. Crankbait
I like the pbj and burrito metaphor. I guess I'll just throw both until I found out what they like or according to cover. Thanks for the quick responses. ;D

Spinnerbait vs. Crankbait
Besides being able to kill and spinnerbait and let in fall or slow roll it when you want to, what makes you choose a spinnerbait over a crankbait or vice versa?

What are your fishing Weaknesses?
1. I dont know the depth of the water im fishing when in my canoe 2. I'm not really good with a baitcaster but getting better 3. I fish from the bank too much because I dont want to take the canoe out 4. I try to vary lures but I go back to my soft plastics most of the time

Buckeye Lures Anyone?
It would be cool if they could custom paint them... It would just have to be more navy and maize though
-
Buckeye Lures Anyone?
The spot remover shaky head jig is made by them and does a good job standing worms and other soft plastics straight up however they do get hung up in rocks and all this talk about buckeyes is crazy! GO BLUE! ;D

AVATAR the movie
I liked the story line even if it was very similar to Dances with wolves. I did get the feel of imperialism but I think the issue of climate change and being eco-friendly was in there too. I have to say that even though most of the movie was cgi I did not see one thing that looked fake and the 3-D was incredible! Im goin again today with my girlfriend.

Are bigger fish really better?
I'm happy when i catch fish. Even if i know they wont be big its still fun to see if you can use your knowledge to outwit a creature who most of the time is unseen. Sure its nice to catch big ones and some times i dont like to catch small ones because its too easy. It's like the game Clue. You always suspected that the murderer killed Colonel Mustard in the Dining Room with the candlestick but now you have proof that it was Mr. Bass all along regardless of whether he was 100lbs. or 350lbs. ;D

Which bass that got away hurt the most?
I was lifeguarding at my local lake and it was a slow day so i broke out the ol' fishing pole and caught a few nice bass. We were cleaning up at the end of the day and did my share so i took a few more casts. I hooked into one and figured oh another 3 pounder. Then i got a good look at it and it was a 5-6 pounder! I got it to where i could lift it up but saw it wasnt hooked well so i told my buddy to get the skimmer net we use to remove seaweed and such. As i said this the hook popped free and the fish slowly swam off as i looked on in disbelief. He'll be the one that got away until next summer :'(

Your Favorite Worm Hook?
I've never had a problem with eagle claw hooks and I mostly use straight shank worm hooks unless its a thick plastic like a stickbait or a tube then I'll use EWG

slug-go help
they get the best action from being fished weightless like a jerkbait so any good ewg worm hook will do
