CARDINALS Around here we don't like that team north of here.

I have a Bass Pro Shop only about 8 miles from where I live and I go there a lot but I do try and throw some business to a local shop. They carry some tackle lines from smaller companies that BPS doesn't carry and I can get shiners in the AM when I take my grandkids out fishing. I might pay a little more there but I'd like to see them stay in business I've got a cabelas and bps both about 20 min. away but still go to my local bait store 10.min.away one reason the little bait shops will last around here is Lake Michigan,

Well i feel the need to support my local shop. 1) their prices are good, if they dont have it they will order it 2) I fish crappie fish alot and need minnows 3) If i/we dont shop there, they wont be there long 4) their are closer than any big box fishing stores easy in easy out

I just got my fuego in the mail from T.W 1st. quality bc ive bought. anybody tell me why so cheap? have they discontinued making them?

The best for me was LM about 3&1/2 maybe 4#. for my 1st. back fishing after 9-10yrs.

Sorry if i sound goofy. but what is fulcrum point? please explain I read how someone will pick up a couple of rods at a store and decide one is too tip heavy compaired to a rod of equal power and size.

Can you guys explain what its means? i know you wouldnt put a 4000 series reel on a ultra lite rod. and the line should be rated for the rod. but what else factors in to a good balanced setup? any unwritten rules to follow?

In a local fishing fourm here i read a guy fell thru ice at willow slough about a week ago,but there were alot of others out there to help him out. also another guy went thru the ice over the weekend not sure which lake, he was fishing alone and a passing truck driver seen him in the water and called to get the guy help, he got lucky

I am new to bc too, i bought a cheap combo bc about 10 yrs. ago. and could not get it right one birds nest after another ended up never taking it fishing, until this past summer when i wanted to try it again so i started using it in my back yard a couple hours a week got the hang of it. so i just recently order a fuego from tw picked up a st. croix premire and cant wait for spring. my budget was bigger than yours but i figure it is a quality setup that that will last a long time
