what line for swimbaits
...what? Use 20 or 25lb Pline CXX. If the majority of your baits are under about 4ozs, use the 20, if you are gonna throw a lot of the 8" hudd use 25. My dedicated 8" Hudd rod runs 30lb CXX, but that will be too much line for the smaller baits like the Matts. I have used a dozen lines on my swimbait rod over the years. I have realized that CXX is by far the best. Big Game is a distant second. If your swimbait rod has more bend then you want to use flouro, but if its a stiff board then you will wanna use a line with more stretch (like the co polymer)

Luckycraft baits
Bass Junkie Personally I hardly ever loose baits because I live in Oregon and almost all the lakes I fish are rocks and some stumps. Not to brag but I fish 10x harder then lots of guys I know and fish tournies with, I loose them in the river sometimes. Just be careful and really try and get the snags out...

what line for swimbaits
Most guys throwing swimbaits use a co polymer line like 15-25 pound test. Personally I like 100% flouro because when I set the hook (especially on hudds and ospreys) I want to be directly at the bait rather then have co polymer and get stretch in the line. I like to use 25 pound berkley 100% flourocarbon. It also depend on your rod if it has a fast tip (like mine) then you want to use flouro, if your rod is moderate fast either flouro or co polymer. Personally I hate braid for swimbaits especially the heavier ones, because I have had it when you cast the braid catches up in your reel and the braid has no stretch so "SNAP!" there goes a 15-30 dollar bait.... Hope this helps, Jacob

Luckycraft baits
In my opinion... LC have much better and more choices for color patterns. My favorite are the LC staysee and the Gunfish. But I have also done very well on the moonsault cranksbaits. They just have much better action and color choices. and if your carefull with your baits and don't loose them often why not spend an extra 6 or 7 bucks on a lure.

need a little help
are you talking about the pearlish white/tan color? I also use createx and I normally mix opaque white with pearl white with a few drops of light brown usually make a nice bottom color. But to tell you the truth its all just experimenting with mixes...

Fixing Rago swimbait fin?...
yeah I would do that but I don't know how much weight it will take off the bottom of the bait... I don't want my 75 dollar lure ridding upside down i think i'm going to try and use a type of plastic cement stuff I have then build it up and then carve it to shape.

Fixing Rago swimbait fin?...
I just bought a 8 inch Jerry Rago Raptor swimbait off of the flea market on here and received it in the mail today. I knew the fin was broken when i bought it. The one thats broken its the small fin right next to the hook. there is one on either side of the bait. I? just wanted to know what you would recommend the best way to fix it? Thanks alot for the help

Eagle Claw Hooks
Maybe I have just gotten lucky but I have used lots of Trokar hooks including drop shot (which in my opinion the point would roll on easier then the rest) None of these hooks have had the point roll, unless you are casting on the bank and dragging the bait to the water or regularly snagging trees and getting your bait back then the point usually doesn't roll.
