  1. you may want to look at your battery and get a new one. i run my livewells all day but i leave my electronics connected to one of my 2 trolling batterys. if it dies on the water hook your engine to a trolling battery thats what ive done.
  2. that is not possible unless somehow you had an eyelet coming out of the top of the crank. even then the crank would just do circle kinda like when you get your line caught on one of the hooks.
  3. ok thanks guys, ill def be throwing it this sunday.
  4. thanks for the help guys, i will probably try it on claytor this week while prefishing.
  5. hello, i just bought my first buzzbait since i dont do much topwater i am wondering where yall would throw this bait. also which season is the bait best for. And does the bait work well in clear water(4-8ft visibility)
  6. i have a 7 foot 2 med/fast for shakeyhead. works amazing.
  7. i would rather not discuss the horrible calls that caused us hokies to lose to some dumb broncos. we should have won. but other then that we are amazing atm.
  8. thanks man, is the lower end of the lake the arms or the main lake body?
  9. I am currently attending Virginia Tech and will be coming home for the weekend. I am just wondering what i should try and what type of structure or cover i need to try for the weather currently at lake anna. havnt been down there for a month or 2 so idk whats up with the lake.
  10. i have no clue, but latly ive snaped 3 rods in the last 2 weeks. btw these are the first 3 rods ive ever snapped. thank god for warranties.
  11. once you get used to it your fine. for deep cranking i use a curado 200e7 and a 7' mh shimano compre rod. i never get tired with that setup.
  12. ok thanks alot for the help man, ill give it a try next time i go out.
  13. ok so i guess maybe use my avid medium heavy for frogs and ill buy another frog for the rest, i cannot afford to buy more then one extra rod atm.
  14. does that line handle a hollow body frog hit well?
  15. get a curado reel and a compre rod.
  16. ok, would you recommend mono say like 20# or so since it floats.
  17. i am wondering what would be a good action and power for a rod i would use for buzzbaits, hollowbody frogs, soft plastic frogs, poppers, and some others.
  18. what application will this baitcaster be used for? if crankbaits i would reccommend stren magnathin. just make sure you check often for nicks.
  19. from my experience it would be hard to get them to bite, you could throw a crank, jig, soft plastice, or sometimes a jerkbait will work. you just have to make them think it is a super easy meal so they will nail the biat.
  20. its part of fishing, just learn how to work the fish, when you feel it coming to the surface throw your rod tip down in the water. sometimes this will stop them from jumping. also dont let it get to you.
  21. by standard i was talking about the price. dont go waste your money on those stupid high end plugs, they dont really do anything more then a standard does. you still have to figure out the size you need though.
  22. for the baitcaster, dont quit on it learn it. it works much better then a spinner reel in certain situations. a tip to help you learn to cast it is to tighten the start spin settings on the reel if you are backlashing right off the start. if you are backlashing after that then work on feathering your thumb better or just tighten the spool tensioning knob. took me about 1 month to learn to cash one.
  23. i have a 1979 115hp evinrude and i just use standard plugs, you dont need anything special.
  24. if any of yall ever want to go out on lake chesdin then just let me know, always looking for a partner to ride with me in the boat and fish with. also always looking to learn more about fishing so just let me know if yall ever wanna go.
  25. was that in the highlands? if so thats where i live lol. i havnt fished that lake in forever.
