  1. i use a curado 5.0:1 for shallow and deep cranks, got 2 of those reels and my deep crank rod has one along with my shallow crank rod has one.
  2. i would have to say for the best, that would be axl rose
  3. congrats man, sounds like an amazing season.
  4. i dont have a problem with speed 4 but when i goto speed 5 if i try to turn at all the motor just goes crazy and the first time i used it, it threw me off the boat.
  5. why are you looking for a replacement, just take care of your equipment. ive never broken a rod due to myself. look for a replacement once it breaks.
  6. ya, i tried to find more indepth but this is about all i could find on it. i will def be being a little bit more safe when it comes to tournys.
  7. From what i know, a co angler was killed when two boats collided head on. One of the boats was fishing a BFL event. The other boat was fishing a separate event. [edit]no links to other websites[/edit]
  8. ya, claytor and i got it from a tackle shop back at my real home. btw i think i have figured out claytor a little bit
  9. my goal this year is to be in the top 4 rank in my college bass fishing team
  10. yes, i use my side imagining and will mark alot but then whenever i get around to fishing the spots. the ones that dont produce get deleted. also i have a rule, for a spot to get a waypoint mark i must have atleast caught a 2 lber on that spot more then once.
  11. ok thanks guys, threw the pointer today and it was the crappiest lure i ever have seen, one fish hit it and the entire ring hole that the treble hook is on just ripped out of the lure body.
  12. so i just ordered some lucky craft pointers, some of the deep divers and some of the normal ones. I was wondering where yall throw jerkbaits now and also where when winter hits. Do you throw them in the same area you would throw a crankbait?
  13. thats like saying jimmy johnson won each year because the officials made tracks for the post season that he was good at. NO its because hes one of the best drivers. Same applies to KVD I wouldn't say KVD is his kryptonite, I would say it's the Elite Series Officials. They're the ones that invented the post season format, and chose the locations, that has resulted in Skeet's losses.
  14. are they waterproof? if not ill just deal with jeans till i can get something waterproof
  15. i caught my personal best throwing a senko with a 1/2 oz tungsten weight unpegged into shallow water. you can catch fish with senkos t rigged with heavier weights. at this time in the season though i will only throw them weightless.
  16. for warmness the jacket is only good down to about 45-50 degrees. but for rain it is exelent. i would def recommend it.
  17. if you know how to work a bait you wont snag much at all. i can run a crankbait through some nasty stuff and only snag once or twice in a while but even if i do i can almost always get the bait out.
  18. i got the midnight blue, i believe thats the name, its the 100mph jacket
  19. i have a boat, and ive been doing most of that, first club tourny i caught 4 fish that went for 4-10. For some reason from my experience topwater has not worked any trips ive been out there so far. O and for the rainsuit i learned that after the first club tourny. now i have a full gortex rain coat and im saving up for the gortex pants now.
  20. i forgot about those ponds, every chance i get to fish i go out on the boat and head to claytor. trying to learn that lake since thats where alot of the club tournys are held. i have learned a little but i still have alot that i dont know.
  21. i just bought my 3 bank minn kota onboard charger from there and i couldnt be happier. i would definitly reccomend the website.
  22. since your mentioning points, how exactly do you fish a point as in do you fish in parrell or do you fish it perpindicular to the point.
  23. Im posting this to see when everone starts to break out there deep cranks and other deep baits to go for the fish. at the moment the fish are in the back of coves so when do you think that they will move back out on the main lake body. Also when they do move back to the main lake body where do you target to catch them(such as points, humps, etc...)
  24. also if you are looking to get a new prop just remeber if you change the pitch of the blades to go faster your fuel economy will tank which in the long run is that worth 3-7mph?
  25. you will probably top out at around 35mph, i have a 17ft procraft with 115hp and i top out at around 40-45 mph depending on the prop and whos in the boat.
