check out a shimano compre in medium heavy. i have been nothing but happy with that rod for my deep cranking.

i am wondering how you find structure in a lake such as timber and other things in deep water. i have side imaging but am i just supposed to idle around the lake and hope i get lucky and find something?

dont use snaps, just tye a new knot whenever you need another lure, knots dont take that much time anyways.

if a lure works better then your sponsor, you use it, but you just dont tell anyone.

which lake are you talking about because i live in central va.

im looking for a god jig that i can use for pitching to timber or pitching to weeds/grass. also what once jig would you recommend, i was thinking .5oz but was not sure if thats to much.

if the bank slowly slopes down to 15 feet over say 50 yards and then within 5 yards drops to 30 or 40 feet is that a ledge.

ya, i have side imagining and down scan. im still learning the unit though since i havnt had it to long.

i was just going to check out every ledge in the lake which is alot of them since idk how to say one is better then another.

if its parrell then do you fish the top, bottem, or somewhere in the middle. ive never ledge fished so im trying to figure out what i need to do.

by the way im guessing a carolina rig would probably be one of the best ledge baits, but do you cat the rig perpindicular to the ledge or parrell to the ledge.

how is fishing right now on lake anna wayne. any suggestions for places to start looking for fish because latly i havnt been able to get them to bite.

why would you go to such high test, i though you want the thinnest line that you can get away with and have enough strength to pull the fish up.

ok, thanks for the info, i mainly got it for the deep cranks so i could hopefully get the full depth out of them with a thinner line.

i just bought some stren magnathin 10# test fishing line. i will be using this line on my shallow and deep crankbaits. i am just wondering how good or bad this line is.

for the spro just cut a "butt hole" in the back of it and it wont fill up anymore.

my two trolling batteries measure about 13v each when fully charged and the cranking is around 12.5v when charged

why would you recommend 6 foot 6 over a 7 foot rod.
