  1. honestly, i feel that 7' to 7'6 is good for soft plastics and also who told you to get a rod thats mh to heavy. that seems more suited for flipping and pitching. my soft plastic rod is 7'2 medium fast.
  2. you just need to study, im in ap calculus and we have 1 test a semester and thats our entire grade for the semester. i know kids who failed it and failed the semester because they didnt study enough. i got a B.
  3. ya i may have to do some research on them when i can get some cash flow going to afford them.
  4. watermelon with red flakes works for soft plastic ive thrown.
  5. my untrained eyes are going to say grass with baitfish in it. i could be wrong and probably am but thats what i would have thought if i saw it.
  6. i actually did not throw a fluke due to the fact i dont know how to work them, and i didnt have a red bookbag, mine was black.
  7. i bought maui jim, the reason being when i was looking at oakley every single eye docter that was selling them would only say bad things about oakley's quality. i honestly never heard a single good thing about oakley for the entire 2 months that i researched sunglasses.
  8. i saw small fish along the shore but nothing else.
  9. what lake was this in? and on what lure cause im still open for a lake this coming weekend.
  10. it was pretty bad imho, i through every lure at the bass and did not get a single bite. the water just didnt seem right to me. but i am hopeing to try wilde lake next weekend and have beeter luck with the fish.
  11. i remeber a few months back some guys on here were talking about gary coming back to rod making and starting with a mid range rod, that may be the rod they were talking about. if thats the case then yes its semi new.
  12. from what i have heard, avids are better. i have never held an avid but thats what friends tell me.
  13. not trying to be negative but i would not buy a g.loomis unless its an imx or glx in my honest opinion the gl3 is overpriced.
  14. well just got my backpack packed for tommarows little trip to southside to give it a shot. hope to see some of yall up there.
  15. mathews, did you plan on coming to southside tommarow also?

  17. thanks again sam for the help.
  18. its in midlothian i believe, off of southlake rd or street, im not sure which.
  19. also for soft plastic i use flurocarbon, some people dont like using it but i do.
  20. its all preference, some lures i have a leader with the braid, and some i dont. just depends on what you like best.
  21. just spend the money on the gear and make your own, btw what are these clackers you are talking about? never heard of them.
  22. i changed to south since its closer, i was thinking about wilde or innsbrook sunday if it doesnt storm though
  23. now, another question about the single hook rod, does it need to be super sensitive or would say an avid work just as well as a loomis imx because i believe the imx is more sensitive but i dont know if that matters a whole lot for these aspects since i dont fish them aton but would like to start.
  24. $250 or less, i usually buy super expensive rods only for finese applications. for moving lure rods i try not to go over 250.
