  1. i bought it at the richmond fishing expo, but it has the best action that ive ever seen and if you put it next to a real fish it looks the same even when the fish is dieing. its an amazing swimbait.
  2. I just bought this lure the other day and forgot who made it, and wanted to buy some more of them. If you know who makes this hard swimbait then please let me know.
  3. i dont own one but saw one in action today. i was at a fishing expo and they had i would say a 40 foot clear tank for the pros to cast in while they were teaching. All day none of the pros could catch anything and they through every lure you could imagine, but then the last pro came up and started throwing a 5 in tungston swimbait and caught 4 of the bass in the tank. that was a good enough show of it working for me so i bought one of the 5 in but havnt tested it on my own. i forget what color was called but it was green and brown, it should work perfectly though.
  4. i have held the kvd cranking rod and it felt really heavy to me, but then again im accustomed to my g.loomis which is altralight in weight. but if weight isnt an issue then its an ok rod.
  5. i cant wait to see all the seminars at the expo, i think ima go see 4 of them tommarow lol
  6. Hey just wondering who is going to the fishing expo tommarow and what speakers will you be listening to.
  7. do you think that rod would be suitable for shakeyheads also?
  8. ive always wondered this, but how much does a 5 in weightless senko actually weigh?
  9. i pier fish on occasion and i just use a cheap setup which consists of an ugly stick rod and a shakespeare reel. The ugly Stick is very strong and will not break so i would recommend that plus its cheap.
  10. ya, im just stuck on which i should get. like should i get bigger just incase i do hook a bigger one, or go smaller. ill probable be throwing 3/16 oz shakeyheads and weightless senkos so idk which to choose.
  11. with the lighter rod though, could i pull a big bass out of brush or wood cover without losing the fish or snapping the pole?
  12. so then why wouldnt i go with the more powerful rod if the price is the same and the sensitivity is the same?
  13. if i got the 783 model in glx would i lose any sensitivity over the 782 glx?
  14. well what would you recommend for a gloomis that i can use for senkos in cover and also for shakeyheads, but that does both of those jobs very well since the rod will probably be expensive.
  15. I am just wondering what is the best rod that g.loomis makes for fishing shakey heads and sekos.
  16. ive heard that the color causes the bass to short strike. i know when i change the color when they are short striking alot, all of the short strikes stop.
  17. im about to start fishing chesdin, i really wanna take my jon boat on the james this spring so ill probably do that. and then the highlands lake. i only fish for largemouth so far.
  18. idk, i would just try the senkos weightless.
  19. jrk, im about to start learning how to shakeyhead fish and if that goes well, ill let you know. but with senkos, fish them weightless and texas rigged thats worked best for me in this area.
  20. ya its a nice reel, so where do you fish in richmond? cause i live in chesterfield
